I have a 2009 royal star touring deluxe and noticed that the swing are when on my lift has about a .003-.005 side play on the swing arm. The factory manual says there is not supposed to be any. Has anyone had this issue and if so what is the proceedure to take the side play out.

Heard today from K&N, Yamaha will not relase other Venture until 2012 or 2013. They showed a 2011 (Blue/black) in their dealer book. This must be left overs from 2009. I wonder what Yamaha is up to now for the touring market.

OK...I printed off Freebird's excellent instructions for splitting the fairing...and then as I was reading over them, I noticed these were published in 2006. I have a 2009 Venture WITH THE LIGHT BAR BRACKET, so I know I won't have to remove my lights...but are there ANY other changes on splitting...

I know we just about beat this to death, but it is a VERY annoying sound. My question is that can I ASSUME that my 2009 already has the "I" Basket clutch assembly installed? Or is it possible I could still have an earlier clutch basket in the bike. Thanks, Wally

Does anyone out ther have a passenger backrest pan to fit a 2009 Royal Star Venture trunk? Doesnt matter if cushion is torn or in good shape. I recon anything 1999 to 2009 will work. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
