New each carb at Yamaha is almost $600 I cant not aford that at all. Im hoping that you guys might be able to tell me what years and models may be swaped onto my bike. Hello, I recently acquired a 1996 Royal Star Trike. The exhaust needs replaces and as I have found out, it is a rare animal and parts are difficult to find. Can anybody here point me in a direction? I have done all the searching I know how to do and keep coming up with nothing. Also, for a V4 it sure seems to lack a lot of power. Motor is running well, just seems to be missing something comparing to the inline 4 cylinder I was used to. Thank you, Jim

I didn't know where to post this... Desperately needing the right rear (#3) carb for a 96-97 Royal Star, part #4NK-14903-00-00. Might be interested in a complete set of 4 carbs, also. In the process of trying to remove the float pin, I broke the pin tower off. Please, someone, help me out! Thanks! I'm not interested in 32mm carbs, just the stock 28mm set up. According to the parts fiche, the following will interchange. 1996 ROYAL STAR - XVZ1300AH 1996 ROYAL STAR - XVZ1300AHC 1996 ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ1300ATH 1996 ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ1300ATHC 1996 ROYAL STAR XVZ13ATH_ATHC ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ13AH 1996 ROYAL STAR XVZ13ATH_ATHC ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ13AHC 1996 ROYAL STAR XVZ13ATH_ATHC ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ13ATH 1996 ROYAL STAR XVZ13ATH_ATHC ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ13ATHC 1996 XVZ13THC 1997 ROYAL STAR - XVZ1300AJ 1997 ROYAL STAR - XVZ1300AJC 1997 ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ1300ATJ 1997 ROYAL STAR TOUR CLASSIC - XVZ1300ATJC 1997 XVZ13AJ 1997 XVZ13AJC 1997 XVZ13ATJ 1997 XVZ13ATJC

The input gear on my 1996 Tour classic has broken teeth. I have a line on a used unit from a 2003 but am unsure if it will work. Anyone with any advise? I need to commit to this one soon. Thanks for any thoughts. Jim

So I just purchased a 1996 Royal Star Tour Classic. I love the bike, its so comfortable and balanced it has beautiful lines. It has aftermarket pipes, but was never jetted, plug check looks good, light brown. I was hoping to bump up the ~70hp and was thinking of the Dynatek module but read a one sentence statement that said I could advance the stator by 4 degrees. The 5700 rpm rev limiter should be addressed but I am looking to get the timing bumped for more performance. What do you guys recommend Dynatek or timing advance and detailed instructions on the procedure for correctly advancing the timing would be great. Thanks

I had my 1996 RSTC up on a stand today while doing a brake job. I turned my back and heard a crash. There was my bike lying on the ground. I was very lucky that the bike has crash bars so there was very little damage. I did damage my brake lever and also bent the bar that the front blinkers mount on. Does anyone have either of these parts lying around that they would be willing to part with? Thanks Bob

1996 RS dependability
dukhunter322 posted a topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Hello, I am a newbie here but have been watching for a month or so. I am looking at getting a 1996 RS w/ 22k miles on it. It came from Fl so there is a major cleaning in the works. I have heard nothing but good things about the motor (yamaha still makes it). But , what about the rest of the bike. Any coments will be appreciated. This may save me thousands in the future over a harley bagger. Thanks. -
Hello, Does anyone know the part # or a replacement for the thermostat on a 1996 Royal Star Tour Classic 1300XVZATHC? I have noticed that some are using a NAPA 56 or 56T on some of their bikes but I am not sure if it would fit mine. Thanks
