Hi all, I have just agreed to buy a 1990 venture royale so thought I would join the forum. I have done all the usual reading so don't think I will be in for any huge surprises but one thing I haven't been able to find much info on is expected mpg. What I have seen varies from 30 mpg up to 50 ( sounds a bit hopeful?). I am going to be covering 22,000 a year just going to work and back, I live in Vegas but work out in the desert. I also hope to do some touring so looking to see what I have let myself in for! It will be a while till I can ride the bike as I am recovering from a desert racing crash so I thought I would see what figures other people are getting for the time being. Got my 1990 Venture home today. It will need some tlc, tires, battery, the normal stuff. It also has a leak at the thermostat housing. Why would this leak? One of the worst things is the handling. It has a Dunlop CruiseMax on the front, and an Elite on the rear. When coming to a stop, the whole front end shudders like it has an octagonal shaped tire or something. Whole bike feels just generally wobbly and mushy. A cursory inspection reveals a few loose bolts. So I think I'm gonna strip off the bodywork and tighten EVERYTHING. And maybe some solid or urethane motor mounts. Combing through the forums looking for a plan of attack. Otherwise, I think the Venture and I are going to make lots of memories.

I recently had the opportunity to buy a 1990 Royale, it runs great and now that riding season has started here in CO i've had more chances to get her out and let her run. I do have one question since this is my first experience with the Venture line, mine seems to ride really hard, I've set the air suspension at different levels over the past few days but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so what can I do to correct it. Thanks in advance for your help... Bob 1990 Venture Royale 2003 Roadstar 2007 R1

Need Owners Manual 1990 Venture

Hello, I am looking for a 1990 venture royale owners manual. I tried downloading the '84 on the sight, but will not go. I understand the model changed in '86, so I think I need '86 to '93 . I will gladly copy yours and send it back to you, much obliged. Thanks for reading, ride on! -
When I push on the start button of my 1990 Yamaha Venture I usually hear "click" and nothing else. Most of the time the engine will start after I push the start button two or three times. Do you have any idea of what the problem may be? (The battery seems good.) Thanks. Maurice.

I need a windshield for my 1990 Yamaha Venture. I found one on Ebay for the 1983 Venture. Do you know if the 1983 windshield also fits the 1990 Venture. Thanks. Maurice.
