I just bought a 1987 venture line driver backrest but i dont think all the parts are there, does any one have a parts break down of all the parts so i can see what is missing, i have looked all around and cant find a breakdown on all the parts -
Hi new to your site and am looking for some information from the experts here. I am going to look at a 1987 Venture Royal on Sunday and hoped that someone would be kind enough to tell me what some of the known issues or problems are related to that model, things to look for etc. Any help is appreciated........

I am a newbie ! Just purchased a 1987 Venture 'i bought it cheap-but probably not cheap if My problems are more than the seller had a so called motorcycle mechanic tell him that it needed A clutch ???WHEN TURNING THE ENGINE OVER WITH WRENCH ON FLYWHEEL IN GEAR HAS A POPPING NOISE ON LEFT SIDE OF TRANS-IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT GEAR IT IS IN DOES NOT ROTATE DRIVESHAFT OR UJOINT ??? I have studied the trans diagrams ,it appears to me either spring loaded cog is messed up or has a broken spring. ????? Please give a feed back on this-i am new to these bikes-YOU GUYS KNOW MORE THAN ME ON THIS PLEASE HELP- THANK YOU. JIM :confused24: -
Does anyone know if a back rest and arm rests from an 1987 Venture will fit on an 1985 trunk?

I just picked up a 1987 venture royal I live in Spokane my best friend lives in San Diego and wants to take me on a trip to Canada I didnt have a bike that would make the trip. so I went shoping on line I found my venture royal but it was In San Diego my friend checked it out and and I picked it up. how ever Im going to have 4 days to get familure with the bike so I want to pick up an owners manual so I will know somthing about the bike. as I write this down it sounds silly but Ive been riding for 30 yrs.so It will work out

I am new to the Venture and need some help on maintenance. Can anyone tell me if there would be a problem with putting a 1992 v-max intake manifold and carberator on my 1987 Venture?

I may need to replace a sometimes flakey turn signal cancel unit- not the relay itself. Mine is a 1987 modelbut others may work. Thanks! -
When I look up parts and stuff online, I see two models listed- VENTURE ROYALE - XVZ1300DT - 1987 or VENTURE ROYALE - XVZ1300DTC - 1987 What is the difference? Thanks

I recently purchased a 1987 Venture Royale and when the headsets are on the rider of the 1987 can hear the everything, but cannot transmit to others. Does anybody have any ides? -

According to the color chart here on the site, these were the colors for 1987 1987 blue T ? Will 1987 rotors work on a 84 with original calipers? I have a warped rotor and may be able to get a set from an 87.
