well Mike told me he had a 2011 1700 voyger with 6212 miles for $13,900.00. my second gen has 71120 miles on it and I've had it for two years and not sure of the maintenance records. having said that this kaw is a one owner and only one year old. I'm not familiar with the Vulcan-voyger 1700 cc but know there 1600,1500,900 are pretty much bullet proof.has anyone here have any knowledge of this bike? i know it doesn't have a CB or a tape deck but it seems to be a fairly nice ride.

Would some one please help me find a gentleman a reese type hitch for a 1700 Yamaha Roadstar. I found one here http://www.mchitch.com/Yamaha_RoadStar.htm This is the type hitch he wants but it is really pricey. The 1 1/4 " type hitch with stinger is what he needs. I ask him what year model bike and he has not got back to me as yet. Thanks for any and all help here. Fuzzy

Well, I am kinda thinking about another bike. i love the 86 Venture and would keep it, but I found a NEW 08 RSTD near Seattle for $9800 {craigslist} at a dealer. I also found an 08 Road Star 1700 in Victoria with lots of extras for about the same price. Opinions on the Road Star? it is fuel inj, has belt drive {less mntc and no lash } How do they handle vs the RSTD or the RSV? I think they have less HP but lots of torque with the V-twin......Help! Thanks, Gary sorry, make the header read RoadStar 1700.......

i got to ride a 0 mile 1700 roadstar , a friend just bought a new 07 one for 8900.00 with a lot of extras on it and he let me be the 1st one to ride it !! now my feelings about it , it is not my cup of tea , at the floor boards vib. is very bad the bars are old school , and it as a very short wheel base , 1st gear is ok but 2nd gear is very nice , need a back rest to hold you in the seat , it has a lot of power after 1st gear , very nice , the bike , too me is not a touring bike but a very nice cruiser , if anybody is looking for 1 check your local yamaha dealer , yamaha has sent 1 to most dealers to sell cheap !
