The 11th annual Bikin' for Burns is Saturday May 14th. Registration is from 10:00am till noon. Leave at noon for a 45 mile police escort ride to Firemen park where food, vendors. beer tent and rock bands will be set up. If you watch from side of the road it takes 45 minutes for the bikes to go by. I get to staging at 9:30 so I can ride up front. If anyone from the area or not in the area want to join me we can meet for breakfast then go resister. we made it home about 1pm. hope every one else has a safe trip home. want to thank everyone who showed up for the meet. you folks are very special people and we really enjoyed being with you all again. i have another meet in the works for september10th and 11th, 2010, at meremac state park in sullivan mo.. will post the vital info in the next couple of days. already have enough interest to make it a meet. bill

At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 the armistice was signed ending WWI. In my younger years (a long long time ago) we would observe 2 minutes of silence at 11:00 each November 11 to honour those who stood, and still stand in harms way. Unfortunately, that tradition has not stood the test of time and we pay our respects by searching for the best deals on Veterans Day.
