FutureVentures Posted November 27, 2008 #1 Posted November 27, 2008 Good news, it will be almost 50 in Northern IL later today! Bad news, it was only 17 on my ride in this morning! Worse news, I'm at work, doh! Well, I did volunteer.... I can't wait for my heated glove liners to arrive. Happy Thanks giving to all. file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/I273136/Desktop/8_5_31.giffile:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/I273136/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.jpg file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/I273136/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg
Squidley Posted November 27, 2008 #2 Posted November 27, 2008 The ride home will be worth it....very ugly here, gray and cold, I think I'm going to get addicted to Prozac for all the gray skies that I will have to deal with for the next 4 months BTW Happy Thanksgiving
Yammer Dan Posted November 27, 2008 #3 Posted November 27, 2008 Got day off. Didn't get up til 8 and frost is heavy. Looks COLD out there.
ddoggma Posted November 27, 2008 #4 Posted November 27, 2008 Well. It's pretty nice out, here. In the high 40s all day,so they say. So, I'm gonna go take a ride while its all sunny out. See how it goes. I hear ya on the gray stuff, Squidley. Gets to me too. I'm sure this winter is gonna be a tough one for me. My losses have been great this year and I'm told its gonna be at least 2 years before I even start to come out of it. To all the others that have lost a loved one this year...I feel your pain. and your in my prayers
eazyduzzit Posted November 27, 2008 #5 Posted November 27, 2008 I know! I rode to work yesterday because the high was s'pose to be in the 50s. Problem was it was low 20s on the ride in. I took the long way home though... Very nice.
Squidley Posted November 27, 2008 #6 Posted November 27, 2008 I hear ya on the gray stuff, Squidley. Gets to me too. I'm sure this winter is gonna be a tough one for me. My losses have been great this year and I'm told its gonna be at least 2 years before I even start to come out of it. To all the others that have lost a loved one this year...I feel your pain. and your in my prayers Well I happen to know that meeting up with other members is just what the doctor orders here. I know even if the skies are gray, hanging with the group always makes me happy. We'll just have to work everyone through the winter 1 gray sky at a time As always...all the best to all our members
SilvrT Posted November 27, 2008 #7 Posted November 27, 2008 so-so weather here...upper single digits (celcius). suppose to be low teens this weekend and maybe no rain so hoping to get some riding in....but, I'll believe it when I see it!
friesman Posted November 27, 2008 #8 Posted November 27, 2008 It is sunny and about 45f here today but cold overnight about 15f, but its come to an end for everyone I know. I helped a friend put his scoot away for the winter yesterday, he took his last ride of the year in the afternoon when it was nice and sunny and about 45. I am looking forward to the colder weather now, at least with the cold we get the great bright sunshine none of the cloudy/snowy/rainy crap that depresses me. Brian
Ponch Posted November 27, 2008 #9 Posted November 27, 2008 But I'm in Chorpus Christi, TX about two hundred miles from my scoot.
mtman Posted November 27, 2008 #10 Posted November 27, 2008 Well, let's see 76 degrees, wind about 5 mph, there might be a cloud out there somewhere, didn't notice... What did ya expect from Florida:thumbsup2: Happy Thanksgiving:happy65:
ddoggma Posted November 27, 2008 #11 Posted November 27, 2008 Just got back in. Had a nice ride. Less cars on the road today it seems. Bike is running pretty good as far as I know. But it started to backfire alot on decel today, more than before. Im gonna put new plugs in it this weekend, and start looking at doing a carbtune on her.
adventurer 08 Posted November 28, 2008 #13 Posted November 28, 2008 got out to ride today about 2 oclock, it was about 40 degrees and a little sun. had to run up to a gas station to fill my tank for the winter. it was great being on the road for the first time since veterans day when i did a patriot guard ride. :301::301:

1rooster Posted November 28, 2008 #15 Posted November 28, 2008 Kinda tough riding in this stuff... Not with the sidecar.
