  1. I'm using it on my iPad.
  2. One at the moment, but I'm shopping
  3. Wearing a helmet should be a choice. Those who choose not to wear one are taking a rather ridiculous risk, but go for it. I'll be wearing mine though.
  4. Of course that is the illegal, and unsafe type of late splitting that needs to be stopped. Even though that stuff is actually legal some places.
  5. Ridden it and all I got to say is WOW!
  6. Talented man right there
  7. When I go to Lowes or Home Depot people are always asking "can I help you?" I always say "no, you really really can't"
  8. As a professional driver I am aware of everything around me. I would see the motorcycle splitting lanes anyway because I'm always watching for anything. Around here bicycles can come at you in any lane for example. Not to mention kids on skate boards. I dunno maybe that's why I have 4.5 million accident free miles. I don't sit in traffic on my bike because I don't have to. As stated before a moving target is harder to hit. I dunno these are just my thoughts. I have never and would never scratch a cage on my bike, that might scratch my bike FFS. Of course if i ever did I would stop and speak to the cage driver in question, and if that person would like to get physical with me, I can take care of myself there too. Ride safe. Forgot to mention, just because I do it, doesn't mean everyone has to. Do what makes YOU feel safe and comfortable. Ride free
  9. Damn! Always wanted to see that
  10. Well I've done a fair bit of lane splitting in my time, in California when I'm there since people are aware of the practice, but I'd have to agree that if you don't feel like it don't do it. I've run slowly down the shoulder on the TC parking lot heading into Vancouver and never had a real problem. I AM hyper aware when I'm doing these things and I'm only risking me. I won't do it with a passenger as I don't feel that I should put someone else at risk, but I do see people doing it if they are comfortable with the risk level, OK. I ALWAYS wear a helmet, doesn't matter what the law is, it's my melon and I like it just as ugly as it is, I don't need to be no uglier LOL. To me though, it's all choices. Just my $0.02

Sat on one at the bike show, most uncomfortable thing I've ever been on and I've ridden a CBR929RR
  12. The good news is that if they sell the knockoffs here or in the US they'll get wacked in the courts so they'll probably try something a bit more clever
  13. Stay strong it's well worth it. Three years and I feel effing fantastic
  14. If I had the time/money combination all figured out I'd build myself something out of the newer 1700 VMax as I'm too damn tall for the actual bike, but that's another story LOL. I've always loved the first gen bike because it would suck the headlight right off a 'wing, and like I said theres something to be said for cheaper insurance, but I'll admit I really like the style of a second gen, I'm just not ready to slow down quite that much ... Yet Admittedly though, the better half REALLY likes the back seat on the new ones. I'll be keeping an eye out for an 86 in blue or black if they exist...
  15. That's awesome thank you. Wow thanks for the welcome I think I'm gonna like it here.
  16. First post, and I gotta say this seems like a good site. None of the negative crap I see from the Harley guys LOL. Anyway I'm a sport bike guy for the most part, but the new fiancé really has a problem with my ZRX. If you've ever looked at the passenger seat on a ZRX it kinda brings to mind a torture device of some kind. On our first ride together she put her hip out, not good. Anyway I am looking at getting something more appropriate, and I have always kinda liked the first gen VR. This way I can pick one up for joint rides and keep the ZRX for canyon carving, as I have seen some great deals on first gens. Of course as a bonus I could put collector plates on it for cheap insurance. I'm looking for links to road tests of first gens if anyone knows where I could find some? Looking forward to chilling out reading some posts.
