  1. Ya , Don , the old bones are getting a little sore :backinmyday:so I've been saving my pennys to buy a 2nd gen , I figger when I sell the scooters I'll be 1/2 way there . The target date is April fool's day 2011 unless somebody buys my 75 linclon conny with 65 k miles [ I know ! but I'm shameless ] MR. Cupcake , There are only 4 on the trailer now and you know whats coming ,
  2. Me think i got a lot of work to do , all 5 need new batterys , 1 takes 3 batterys and 2 of them take 5 A friend of mine imported 25 of them and 10 of them had bad batterys in them , the 1st time he tried to charge them , they burned up the chargers , the China company will not take them back or send more batterys , so after a year he gave 7 of them to me . I rewired 1 of them to use acid walmart batterys , Marsha claimed it to ride around town I am working on 1 now , but now i need to get all of them done to sell for the 2nd gen fund or do's anybody want to trade 6 Elec. scooters for a 2nd gen ?

  5. For Me , I like a town bike , mine is a elec. scooter , just like my travel car and the town car . the travel car is a 1975 Lincoln Conny , 21 ft. long 5500 lbs very hard just to get it out of the driveway and parking is no fun but a great hwy car , the town car is a 2 wheel drive jeep very easy to run to the store park in a tite spot and very good on gas in town but to run to Houston with it , Not ! If I could afford it I would have a 2nd gen for the superslab , a 1st gen for the twisty and hill country and a dou-sport for a town bike ! A VR is great for traveling but it is not gravel friendly , you got to watch where you park it , backing it out is lots of fun ! Thom:2cents:

  13. used to put car generators on 45 flathead HDs . mounted on the front and used a vbelt off the primary . that looks like a pancake VW motor , done that too , used a Delco 30 amp single wire alt.
  14. Yep , they are , but you need to use the straps , Brad pulled my rear tire off with out strapping the bike to the jack that why you see everybody holding on the bike , but after the tire was off it was ok . I have used it on 2nd gens too with Carbonone's lift adapter , it is a funny feeling having your bike that high but it makes it a lot easyer to work on , on a mark II it nice not having to pull the bags off too pull the rear tire . 20. Yep , I have one , 9.97 wally world , always on sale in the drug section . Its funny , i never thought about it until somebody brought it up here a couple of years ago . started to carry one and use it all the time now , think about it , how many times do you need a bandaid and its great to have some antibiotic suave . I have used it at work because the bike was closer than the shop med kit and i need it fast ! It is kinda nice to know if the bike is near , the 1st aid kit is near . i keep it in 1 unlocked side bag with the cheap stuff , sometimes it is hard to find the keys in a hurry !
