  1. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhuc954gpeg]YouTube - sportloader 2[/ame] i just figgerd out how to upload to you tube . you can see how heavy my 1st gen , it makes that f250 rock
  2. sorry about the lack of info , it has gear driven trolly that comes down the ramp and you drive the front wheel into and use 2 tie down straps to hold the front of the bike than use the remote control to run the trolley and bike up into the bed than tie down the bike . the ramp is in 2 parts that store next to it , 1 of the nice things about it , there is really no install , it attaches to the 2 pins that hold the tail gate on , the battery box is on the trolley , if you want to remove it from the truck , just pick it up 3 in. and pull it out , but the thing weighs 300 lbs ! and yep it is pricey almost 3 grand ! i think on line you can get 1 for 2,000 and the only reason you need to pay for a install is because of the weight , 2 healthy men can put one in . Blue Ox sent this one to us free for the mag. promo and boss said if anyone brings the mag in we'll sell and install one for 300.00 off but i still think that is pricey , i took video of it but my computer said it was bad [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhuc954gpeg]YouTube - sportloader 2[/ame]
  3. I installed a Blue Ox sportloader 2 in a pickup for American Iron mag last week , it was a rite up on how good it is and how easy it was to install , it was the 1st one i have install and i got to say i like it and it only took 15 min. with 2 people to do , it is very easy to load a bike on but i think the 2 peace ramp is heavy . i like it a lot better than the old model and it is better than the cable type . now for the ego , in the Amer. Iron peace they show a HD being loaded but in the same peace in the sister mag. Metric Iron , wait for it ! :whistling:they show my bike being loaded , a 1st gen ! i was going to wait for the mag to come out buuut i could not wait that long to brag about it
  4. Guess what i do for a living ? yep ! i sell and service MHs been doing it for about 27 years , most of th MH factorys have gone broke in the last year or have cut way back Monaco and Fleetwood are so small and have very few employees that it takes 6 weeks to get parts , it took 3 1/2 mos to get 1 compartment door from Monaco . Gulfstream and Winybago fall apart while setting on the lot and it is very hard to get warranty work done ! i am not going to tell with brand i sell because i hate to sell MHs to friends . to give you a little info on used MHs , the milage is about 3000 mikes a year , any mh over 30,000 miles is shot , och ! if they have been sitting for a year or more it will take a lot of money to get them right . if i was buying a MH now and wanted to spend anything over 60,000 i would buy a used Holiday ramber made before 1999 and have it completely rebuilt from the ground up . if i bought a new one or almost new it would be one of Bobby's , he makes a good camper , he also will rebuild one for you , you can buy a old one and take it to Redbay and Bob will rebuild it like new . I don't sell any of his campers and have never sold any but i have worked on a lot of them over the years and have allways liked them so in the end Beer good :thumbsup:choice but if you buy a used one check the bathroom floor real close 1st ! around the toilet , and make sure the wood is good under the tile from the front steps all the way through the MH , not a eazy or cheap fix ! my feeling on anything made by Fleetwood is PLEASE buy them !!! because they are junk and i make lots of money working on them ! had to work on 2 of them today instead of riding but i got in a 120 miles in this afternoon so the day is not shot , if anybody want any info just give me a shout be happy to help
  5. if i went back my choice would be Deland or Umatalla , Deland is 25 mile from daytona and 40 from Disney , and on the St.Johns river next to the Ocala nat.forest . Umatella , well google earth it and you will see why . Thom

  12. Thanks Eddie , i am not sure why he made the Uturn off the rear jugs instead of just Y them to the front pipes , i have thought the reason was for to keep all the pipes the same length aka tuned but yamaha did not . i think the carbs are a little dif. front and rear , dif. jet size ? Thom
  13. it depends on your state lemon laws , here in TX. it is 3 times or more than 30 days in the shop . i almost had to buy back a $92,000 camper because of a design flaw of a $3500 refige , it cost me over 8 grand to fix the problem ! TX. don't care if it is a manufacture problem , it is up to the dealer to fix it or buy it back , the full price + prep and taxes , och !! but because all the dealers know this , TX. is a good state to buy in . At 1 point i had a good laugh because the the refer manufacture told the cust. they are removing the refer and giving the 3500 to the cust. so he could buy any refer he wanted . but the judge said that they could do it but it will not be $3500 but $92,000 . the judge glared me for laughing !
  14. OK , here is my feeling on cold weather riding ! if you are riding below 55 % your nuts !!! i wear a jacket at 75f, leather at 65f, neo face mask at 55f 4 coats and 4 pants , heavy boots and elec. gloves and don't ride over 25 mph at 46f AND if it colder than 46f , that is colder than BEER ! Thom --------- if it get down to freezing here i am going to start speaking Spanish
  15. i got to figger out how to put on drawings on here , i don't have a scanner at home , but lets see , here is my thoughts , run a pipe off the front header back to the muff. than run a pipe down from the rear header make a U turn and Y into the pipe going back . if i had a collector , i would make up a bunch of bends and match them up , anybody have a old one that is not any good they will ship me , i'll pay shipping or if somebody want's the baffles remove from the collector , i'll do it for the price of shipping Thom
  16. Jack , that is what i am thinking , i started a new thread on this , i think if enough of us can get together , we can figger out something Thom
  17. we need to come up with something better and cheaper , i am thinking of something like the 2nd gens . i have a JD-2 bender and have made headers for cars before . if somebody can come up with a good and eazy design i will try to make it . if we make the pipe coming out the back longer and bend it dif. we could use slip ons . anybody know the ID and OD of the intake and the out take of the pipes ? Squid , you have had both bikes what do you think ? Thom
