    when we put the nipples and the down turns back on , it should help the raspery sound . i think it is the open cans that make that sound , next time i'll tack them on . you all should have see the look on his face when he started it up with no muffs on !:crackup:

    Tom , we are back but i did not want to come back ! Yes we had a blast , what a great place , i want to live there ! we rode the 3 sisters , 335 , 336 , 337 and up to the maple leaf ? anyway we also checked out the M/C museum , there is a lot of Euro bikes there . drove by the Little Stonehenge , what a surprise seeing it there ! Marsha forgot her camera sat. so we don,t have a lot of pics and i have not down loaded them yet . almost killed us a 100 times looking at all the sites and the animals , coming in fri. the gps gave us wrong dictions , it said Camp Wood was Leakey but a bobcat welcome us to the hill country , came around a tite twisty and he was standing in the middle of the road had to stop and wait for him to cross , ask Marsha if she got a pic , she said she forgot she had it . Thursday we had the bike and trailer already to go but thrus. nite the weather idiots said fri. we are going to have 3 to 6 in. of rain and 40 to 60 mph winds so we loaded the bike up on the flat bed trailer and left here at 6:30 am but fri was a perfect day ! i hate the weather idiots ! Know body ever said anything about the the animals when they talk about the Sisters , we saw Ibucks , Impalas , Antelopes , Bison , Kangaroos , Camels , and a lot of other standing on the side of the road ! Of all the places to ride , the Sisters are one of the best in TX. i want to live there ! Sat. morning it was 37f and the tires where cold so we rode up 83 a couple of times to warm them up than headed up 337 , let me give a warning , tires do not get warm in 10 miles ! the 3rd tite curve i hit the yellow line and now there is a brown streak there ! cold tires and slick yellow lines do not mix !!! we will be going up there again soon ! and Tom we will take you up on your offer !     down here in my shop i charge BEER ! and your required to help me drink it ! i have a alum. spool gun and a tig , what do you need welded ? will all the parts fit on your trailer ? come on down . Thom

    this the 1 i use , it lifts the tires 30 ins. off the ground and cost 159.00 at harbor freight rated for 1200 lbs. i like because i can sit my chair and work on the bike , i also used it to pick up my trailer , those 8 in. tires are to close to the ground

    I hope ! leaving here friday and coming back sunday . never been there before , i looking for a motel that takes pets , have to take the dog with us [ don't say it !! ] not sure if the dog will be in the trailer behind the bike or the bike will on the trailer behind the truck but one way or another we are going . so what is a good , cheap , dog loving motel ?

    the boss and i got a flu shot 5 weeks ago and guess what ! we got the flu ! i came down with wed. missed work thrus. tried to work fri. than the Boss got it ! i thought the flu shots would work ! the Boss is in bed so she do'st have to here me whine . its it the 70's here and i was planning on riding today but o'well . so everybody post alot today because i'm sick and board .     Got a up on the W7 upgrade , when i bought the acer netbook the lady said it comes with a free upgrade , she told me that the smaller did not but the new bigger acer did so i bought it , yesterday i copyed my c drive , took 2 hrs. went to the acer upgrade site , put in the ser# and got red lettered ! the free upgrade is not for vista basic that is installed on the netbooks , in short i'll have to pay 119.99 to upgrade . i am not a happy camper !

    rite now i am copying my c drive on a 60 gig external hard drive , it has about a 1 1/2 hrs to go before its done than i'll down load W7 and see what happens . it looks like W7 works better on the netbooks ,

    it comes out today , anyone going to download it today ? i bought a new netbook last mo. and it came with a free download . i am not sure how to do it . i was told to do a backup before installing W7 but i don't have a diskdrive so i have to use a online backup . i am worried about it , i have never installed a OS before , any help would be great ! Thom

    your rite ! Wayne the old man that was running it stopped before it did the tip over because it scared him when it came down , but it was more fun watching the mag. reporter loading his 2010 HD , he almost passed out when it did the tip over :crackup: it comes down on rubber bumpers and do not hurt anything but it will give you a heart attack when we made the video , we tried 3 times but Wayne kept stopping and grabing my bike and i would break up laughing and lose the camera :rotf:
