    My social security benefits were reduced by 25% from what I would have gotten had I waited until I was 65 to start drawing. The break even point in drawing the same total amount of money had between 62 & 65 would make me 74 years old when the total money was the same. Exact dollar amounts of what I am drawing are 100% none of your business. I don't discuss details of my personal finances with just anyone. However on Social Security, I will defer to your vast and superior knowledge since you have stated you are not eligible to draw. All I have to go on is the yearly statements I received, numerous personal visits with a Social Security associate and the fact that I am drawing.

    You stated that if a person retires before he is 62, his social security will be "squat". That is a long ways from 43. I know what can be drawn by retiring at 59 1/2 and drawing at 62. I am doing it.

    Again, you would do well to visit your local Social Security office. They are talking about when you draw Social Security not when you retire from your job. You are penalized if you draw before full retirement age, which varies depending on your age.

    Uh, you have been given some misleading information. You do not have to work until you are 62 to get the same amount. You should go visit with your local Social Security office. I know this one, I did not work until I was 62 and I started drawing at 62.

    Depending on what your DEBT level right now is a better gauge of what it is going to take to live on. The nation has generally gotten into the mode of living on borrowed money rather than living on what they make. Get debt free and living on a million would be a walk in the park.

    Had that problem with my '96. The allen head bolt works out, clean it good and then put it back in with locktite. It is kind of a pain to get to, but if you clean all the oil etc. off the bolt and use strong licktite, it won't happen again. It is easier if you loosen the exhaust on that side and have a buddy hold it out a little while you replace the bolt.

    Try charcoal lighter fluid, works better than anything I have found.

    Engine is all blacked out, also looks like a different design on the engine.

    The origional Royal Star also does not have the horsepower that the later models have, so you need to keep it wound up and use the gears more. He may be lugging the engine.

    Lowell, So sorry to hear of all your bad luck, glad to hear you are doing better.

    Nope, if the windshield you have now is a Yahama, the same mounts will work with a taller windshield. Yamaha made the Royal Star you have now until 2000 and discontinued that model them came out with the new model in 2005 and the windshields are not even close to the same.

    You can order your tires from http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ they also have a listing of approved shops that mount tires in your area. They also ship free to the shop you select. You might look on their web site and see if you come up with anything you like. I am not knowing why your kickstand needs to be changed, but if you are on a roadtrip and get my my neck of the woods, we can change it in my shop.

    Do you have documentation from the repair shop that the damage was caused by bad gas? If so, I am thinking a lawyer could get it settled for you fairly quickly.
