  1. Rolling into work this evening on my 2007 and I saw an (2002?) RSV sitting at the light on Fern Valley infront of Ford. Has to be some one from here. He made sure I saw him from across the intersecton.
  2. No expert, but... Different road surfaces will eat up a tire fast: chip stone, grooved highways. Aggressive riding also shortens tire life. Both of those I am sure you are aware of. One thing I have not seen in this thread, what pressures do you have in the suspension? I got 19,000 out of my last set of E3s. Unlike you, my riding is 60% solo. Tires are kept at 40 psi. Forks have 3psi each and rear shock has 35psi. I do get aggressive occasionally, but not often. There are a lot of factors to tire wear. We have all discussed them here over the years. Road crown, right turns, left turns, jack rabbit starts... Regardless, I would have expected 12,000 out of those tires riding 2 up.
  3. I had not thought to check RVnet. Been on several diesel truck forums. I am starting to lean toward not getting anything. What towing I do is usually no more than 2 hour drive.
  4. If we weren't so far away, I have a nice little VStar 650 Silverado for sale with a Mustang seat.
  5. Be sides UofM, I have to support my alma mater, Buster Bronco
  6. just got my tix in the mail yesterday for Mich vs Indiana at Bloomington
  7. My Dodge does ok, but when we bought it, I never expected to be hauling this much with it, so I got 3.55 rear end in it. Makes it dog a little bit. I'm not too worried aboutan overheat issue. I removed the factory 195 thermostat and put in a 180. Even pulling a 3 horse with 9' LQ in 90+ heat, temp gauge rarely breaks 190 now. I can get the Powe Puck for $169 and would bet that if I don't like it I can get close to the full price back out of it on Fleabay.
  8. Just saw on the news that this officer will not face any drunk charges. Why? Because they say the BAC test was not administered properly. YOU HAVE GO TO BE FRIGGIN KIDDING ME!!!!!! INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A prosecutor has decided to drop drunken driving charges against an Indianapolis police officer accused in a crash that killed a motorcyclist because the blood test that showed the officer was drunk wasn't done properly. Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi announced his decision Thursday after a judge ruled the blood test on Officer David Bisard couldn't be used to suspend his driver's license. Bisard still faces three felony charges stemming from the Aug. 6 crash, including one of reckless homicide. Brizzi said he was confident Bisard could be prosecuted on those charges even without the blood test. Bisard's cruiser crashed into two motorcycles stopped at an intersection, killing one man and injuring two other people. A test showed he had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. 9. It's for a 2002 Dodge 2500 Cummins Diesel.
  10. Anyone here ever use or know about Power Puck by Diablo Sport? I have read a lot of good stuff about it, but still a little iffy. Looking to get a little more pep out of the diesel truck when pulling the horse trailer.
  11. I jumped around the site. After going to models, accessories, and a few other pages, I got the survey. One question asked did I find what I was looking for? Nope! No info in 2011 RSV.
  12. Watched the news video. It is very sad. One victim's atty was on there and is completely correct in his words. Had this been any member of the public, he/she would have been arrested immediately. There would be no "meeting with prosecutors" to decide what to do. The metro police dept is not handling this properly. I am not a LEO nor have ever been, but I am in a high stress job. I know that officer had options available to him to address an alcohol problem and or stress. But being a cop does not give him a free pass.
  13. Over the last week, the RSV would not start when I hit the start button. At first I thought maybe I did nto have the stand all the way up, although I was in Neutral anyhow. Checked it then hit the button again and it started. It has doe this 3 or 4 times in the last week. Today, I discovered that when I push the button with a slight upward pressure, no start. Slight downward pressure, start. I am assuming that the contact on the start button is wearing out. Common? Bike still has 1 1/2 yr warranty, but I don't want to be stuck somewhere with the bike not starting.
  14. That is a dyslexic German Motorcycle.
  15. One of the local Harley dealers has had a little bit of a sign change on their building. They are now a BMW and Vespa dealer. Cannot wait to see the Vespa club there in the parking lot some Saturday morning with all the hard core Harley riders.
  16. So put the question to rest for us.
  17. When was the last time the drive shaft was off and had grease put on the splines? Not sure how easy it is to remove on a trike, but that is where I would start.
  18. Make sure the pressure is the same in each of the front forks.
  19. Rotella Syn in blue jug with a Wix filter. Change every 5000 miles.
  20. Mine was just a little wobble in turns. Mostly freeway on and off ramps. Since tightening the nut and installing new tires, I have not noticed a wobble. Was it the tires? Was it the nut? Maybe it is the nut riding it.
  21. I just purchased E3s from Motorcycle Superstore last week. Price was $243, free shipping.
  22. For what it is worth: I love the E3s. Just put a new set on yesterday. I got 13,000 out of the original D404s. I replaced the D404s with E3s. Put 19,000 miles on that set. Hope I get that again on this set. Very responsive tire.
  23. That is great mileage out of OEM Brickstone. I just put on a new set of Elite 3s yesterday. Replacing a set of E3s that had 19,000 miles. I considered Commanders, but went back to the E3s because of my own experience and not a lot of feedback on the others. Regardless of what tire anyone uses, it's great to post your experience, good or bad, for the rest of us to make decisions. Maybe in 2 years when I need tires again.
  24. Planning on getting mine done this winter
