  1. Freaking hilarious....:rotf:
  2. :cool10:
  3. The whine isn't as prevalant and in your face at all times, like my 5 year old USED to be... That said, there are so many reasons to love the bike that it just becomes part of the bikes allure. And with the reliability, the comfort of the ride, and most of all the loving wackerdoodles on this site, it's a minor player in any decision.
  4. Exactly....
  5. Yeah Squid, give us newbies some history and info. Sounds like it would be a pretty good story.
  6. Don, can I make a suggestion? If you are really high on the venture mechanic, why not invite him to the MD? Maybe he can give a few pointers, maybe do some work and make a few pennies and have some free food and " guy time" without having to deal with shop politics. Perhaps it can be a win- win for him and all of the members.....
  7. Thanks for that info. No metzlers for me
  8. Has anyone heard of the chap that has a 1966 Volvo with over a million miles? http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Latest-News-Wires/2012/0709/3-million-mile-Volvo-Long-Island-man-s-P1800S-won-t-quit-video

  11. Happy Birthday to the man,the myth, the legend: DON!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I don't ride enough like some of y'all to compare contrast. I just go with what I have had and use currently I have Michelin commanders on my Vulcan and would buy those hands down, if they made them again. Never give me grief in hot , cold, rain or snow. Will try the commander II. I hear Avon venoms are excellent in wet weather, but haven't found out myself just yet .
  13. At 500 rounds a a week, he'd have sell his gun just to afford the ammo.
  14. He's 6'6 and called little Bob. Can only imagine the height of big Bob.
  15. BB, what type of heated glove liners do you use. that's one thing I don't have good cold and wet weather gloves.
  16. The coldest I had the kawasaki out was probably in the single digits in New York. Cold, nothig else. A few years back i took a back roads trip from florida to GA. Over night it was frost and ice on roads while the sun was down. That wasn't nice at all. As for the Venture, the coldest was yesterday, in the low 30's when I went to Steve's house for frigid day of fun with electronics.
  17. Steve, I would love to make the trip back out. Keep in touch and let's see if we can figure out a schedule that works best. Thanks once again.
  18. Brakes lights
  19. Signal dynamic running light
  20. Idk why I can't get multiple attachments....
  21. Here are the lights. Again, Steve did a kick a** job.
  22. Sorry playboy....coming right up
  23. I have them, and I used them. Easy to pack and carry. Decent quality. Great for day and overnight trips. Not a suitcase, but suitable for your needs I am sure.
  24. Jerry, your not only a great rider and instructor, but a cool guy overall. That said, I have a few places already marked off and have been working on my riding from your free practice guide, cleverly marked PRACTICE GUIDE. That said, I will be back in a few months to take a refresher. In the meanwhile, I have my Ennius balls cut up, and my markings. Appreciate the hidden tracking device....
  25. Just saying to make the transition easier for Eck. I too like ER better
