1. I am very disappointed that I'm not able to join you guys on your excursion to St. Augustine. It sounds like it would be a very good turnout and the weather should be just fine for riding I am jealous and looking forward to the next Florida gathering. Be safe and have fun.
2. Thank you for your input Yama Mama
3. I appreciate your honest opinion. Never mind his name calling. Keep posting your thoughts.
4. Thanks Buddy. Yes he's trying to be a good egg. Now with the money he tries to save me, I have to use that to buy him frog legs dinner...
5. Thanks to everyone regarding your posts and take the time to interact with me. Wade, ever since I met Miles in Tennessee , he's upped the ante on his busting chops. Little does he know, that the only other color in that pattern was an awful greenish/ gold. THEY DIDN'T HAVE BLACK MILES !!!!!! Not about the bling, sir... Test riding it seems like a good idea. To me, there seems to be enough slots to allow airflow. I looked at some basic radiator grills and although stylish, seemed to leave a lot of space for rocks and sticks. But this is why I come on this site, to get both sides of the coin. Thanks miles, playboy, wade and the rest for your input. P.S. Miles.... It not about the bling, that's why I left Brooklyn.
6. Hmmm. Got me wondering on the air flow....back to drawing board
7. Credit to Miles for this idea... I went to Home Depot and got a piece of tin with the pattern I like the best. Not much to choose from. Then I trim, and mount. Held by zip tie. Not supposed to rust, but holds firm. Was easy and cheap.
8. Pretty terrific. Thanks for sharing
9. Like previously stated I bought mine off eBay just as long as a month ago. It's a fine GPS and worth getting if you are not into dropping a lot of dough on a zumo...
10. Bobby, never poke the bear when he's sleeping. BTW MY diamond cut fins look remarkable. I actually get better MPG and it goes faster now. Thanks Mike
11. SAMs club which is walmarts version of Costco has the exact mobil1 Miles is writing about 6-1qt bottles, $36.72 which is about $6.12 per bottle.
12. Amish, here's another brain twist...I have to politely disagree with usedcyclesales in regards to balancing at slower speeds. I have not dropped the bike and trust me with the slow ass speeds I was going at ride like a pro course I imagine everyone thought I should, including me. However, with the proper tire inflation at 40/40, the bike handled well. I STILL have trouble spots on U turn practices and turns at slow speeds have me a a slow to almost stopped pace. The bike does not give out. I have the butt butler mod and not only is the turn around quick, he adds memory foam in specific spots. I just returned 1,911 miles from door to Tennessee / Kentucky and my butt is fine and the bike handled all obstacles including rain. Like I said previously, swing by and sit on and ride mine if ya want...
13. God lover thanks for giving us a real time update and info on the voyager. I don't see many in my neck of the woods and test rode one last year and it handles just fine. I did feel my R leg was on broil. I do not remember about how flimsy or solid the saddlebags and trunk and fairing were in comparison to RSV and HD. That said, it handled great and I rode that bad boy with confidence. There see,a to be quite a few out there and I am curious as to the real reasons behind it. Any one wanna take a stab? The price, the market, the construction, the heat, any combo?? Maybe it's just too darn hot in Florida although I have seen one at Leesburg in April.
14. They made motorcycles back in your day??
15. no trunk but he can be hiding in one of the saddle bags:rotf:
16. Miles: was thinking about your little escapade in Laramie and came across this. Now who knows for sure if even this will help. you may need to hire a bodyguard, but see whatcha think about this... https://www.denniskirk.com/nelson-rigg/hi-visibility-deluxe-all-season-cover.p562136.prd/562136XXL.sku#
17. tx2sturgis that was a cool video thanks for sharing
18. Just checked, that weekend for that run is out. I am in contact with Dion about getting together with you, Amish and other Florida riders. Lets see if we can coordinate a time and location.
19. About a month ago I went on flea bay and purchased a 765T. It worked just fine and was cheaper than the zumos. My immediate concern was rain, but following the advice of our forum brethren, I placed a Baggie over the GPS and wire and off I went 1,911 miles, mostly in the rain To Tennessee and kentucky last week at B2moms place. The GPS was about the only thing that remained dry. If you are patient enough, and if you are looking at cost effieciency, I am sure some other 765T will pop up on fleabay...
20. Yes you did Patti, you peeked. Everyone peeks...

Is this something we can work on as a project??
22. I am sorry to hear about that and it is always a sad day when these tragedies occur. May he rest in peace and best wishes and prayers to his family and loved ones.
23. that is a moving average of 74.1 mph, and an overall average (when including stops for fuel) of 72.4 mph. Just ignore the 99 mph current speed, or the 130 mph top speed. Those do not concern you, as you have a 2nd gen Venture. I will have you know Miles, I will be able to keep up after getting the rear done. You yourself said it's like having a turbo. besides, someone has to keep back to allow more distance between you and the troopers chasing that batcycle of yours
24. Dale, I took the course from him not too long ago to get a better handle on my bike. Thanks WADE 2000 for remembering my post. Read that and the replies from Jerry who was on this site responding to my post. If I had to steer you towards a DVD, it would be ride like a pro V. PM or call for any specific questions. Good luck. Barry.
