  1. Sorry for your loss Bobby...
  2. My last oil change about 2k ago I officially switched to Mobil 1 10/30 synthetic and it decreased my clutch whine. I immediately took the bike straight to Vogel . I have yet to see or feel any issues. If anyone uses this please let me/ us know your thoughts and experience. As of now it feels fine. Barry
  3. Awesome. Was that in Hi Definition? Does it come with a 3D edition?
  4. I don't care for you to provide a reason Dan. A friend in need is a friend indeed. That's the least I can do. Commence to kicking!!!
  5. WOW!!!
  6. just replaced my Avon Venom X with a new set. I have had no issues regarding cracking from side walls. previous owner had them when I bought the bike but I put on 7000 miles before replacing both front and rear. so far, 1700 miles and in this Florida heat, still see no splits or cracks
  7. +1 on that. My bike runs smoothly with 40/40
  8. I used to believe all the way that the bike is so TOP HEAVY and that is the reason I can not do it. while it is heavier than most, it can be done. it is using proper friction zone and head turning. I learned first hand and with my own eyes as my RSV was twirling round and round (without me riding it) than I tried it and although I was not smooth and slower than the instructor, the bike did NOT go down. I make it a point of practicing and I am better but not great at U turns and turning and slow speed handling. wish to take the course again just to sharpen skills. this time with a tad more confidence.
  9. in the states, they have to go through training and courses before being allowed to patrol on the bike. Also, they have HD which sit lower to the ground than RSV. The U turns and circles are 18 feet, but start out at 26, than get shorter and shorter until they can do 18 feet. another aspect is these police bikes are not theirs so if they do get dropped or damaged, oh well.. crash bars on HD also help. that said, on our RSV it CAN be done. Ride like a Pro rider and former police officer Jerry did exactly that on my RSV and was basically laughing at me. Once I saw him do it, I became mad/embarrassed and then I started to become a bit more active in my lessons with him. Tail of the dragon return on the RSV also reminded me the RSV can do them, the rider just as to practice with PROPER technique. BTW..excellent video
  10. Congrats and here's to a happy, healthy grandchild.
  11. For those who use seafoam often, they are selling 16oz. Seafoam at rural king for $6.50. From what I have seen in previous posts, this is considered a decent price...
  12. I hear ya... Things wold be certainly a lot easier if aftermarket parts were accessible for RSV as the do HD...
  13. Brian, Thank you for the nice words. It is a complete change, not just a blb change. I ordered the LED lamps from Northern tools and the outer LED strip from advance auto. My only issue is I should have added the outer LED step in a different accent color. Otherwise it wasn't so hard. Mike helped via phone. Barry
  14. Yeah, now both LED lights are like mini lighthouses LOL... I do have the RK pipes to change out and am getting great tips from Squidley. My AC went out for 3 days and its been miserable here. Now we are back and running, I am working a lot this month. Will get that under way ASAP. Patti... Must be a guy thing. And I miss you too !!! Get your backside to florida. We would love to have ya here.
  15. Since no one is quite sure where they go exactly, is there a way to call or swing by P.O. to get any clarification?
  16. The license plate from those pics match
  17. I just completed mine 3 weeks ago, using basically the same process. northern tools has the lamps. They are FOUR inches, not 5. Myself, I soldered the wires together and these LED lamps light Em up. MY MISTAKE if you wanna call it that is I used regular white LED for the rims. We thought it would not be seen, however that is not true. The procedure is not hard, after understanding it from Mike, who baby sat me through it. I do have a post regarding the part number with pics titled BIG THANKS TO BIG MIKE. Barry
  18. Heather: condolences and prayers for your family.
  19. Yes Boss
  20. Curious as to why the word "private" is underlined?
  21. Mike: miles DID add a lot to the forums and DID expire his membership here. I learned a bunch from him.
  22. Thanks for the tip. going to check mine. and everything else that comes loose
  23. Being born and raised there and being a bit younger than the majority of VR members, the city is a world of its own. the main "tourist" areas are cleaned up, which squeezes the rest of the city riff raff tightly together. Also, having driven a transit bus in Brooklyn and Manhattan, the roads and traffic are not missed one iota!!! I am taking my wife, a Floridian there this Christmas and am dreading the chaos involved. The Italian food is tops, the prices are the pits. Who needs cable and an Ipad? look outside your window or take a train ride and see a show of your choice( drama, comedy, documentary) each and every day. I do not "hate" it, because it does make you more alert, have a good work ethic, have a built in "BS" meter, and overall prepare you for the unexpected. It certainly is not for everyone. I do NOT like the entitled, harsh, bulling type of personal attitudes people have there. That...is what I hate. The crappy attitudes.
