  1. I believe it is the 3rd week of May for B2Moms for next year.
  2. If we have to wait another 5-6 years for the new model, I am pretty sure I would not be interested. Not only because I am going to be 6 years older, and the cost of a new bike, but figure by that time the other manufacturers will be ahead of the yamaha curve as well. I can't say 100%, because stranger things have happened.
  3. Today, after work I was happy to make contact with Brian, AKA, brd7666. We met in the afternoon in brooksville, and took the scenic route through Hernando and into Pasco county. He has a real nice , sharp looking bike. Nice to ride with him and perhaps time will allow for us to connect in the future. This site rocks!! Thanks for the ride Brian! Barry
  4. At some point, with whatever bike you ride, there will be a time it tips, or drops. That's the way it goes when on 2 wheels. The MAIN part, is you are not injured, which would be rubbing salt into the wound. Now that it is out of your system, so to speak, you can now focus on repairing and riding!! Good luck.
  5. Prayers and positive thoughts. Like the previous post, these are relatively "normal" procedures now a days. Hopefully a speedy recovery for you both.
  6. +1 on carbon one/ Larry on any of his products. As for Steve, aka M61A1MECH, he is still very much an active member who also is an excellent resource. Try resending a PM, if I am not mistaken, his work schedule has picked up some...
  7. Congrats to Karen! Ya know mike, she can be part of the VR forum and post her own special adventures!! Glad she is having fun. Barry
  8. I agree with Rick. Let him fix it, and you'll never look back. I have gone on 2 long distance trips each one over 1500 miles in a 2 month span after the fix. Not one complaint from my backside. And...you would never know it was modified. I endorse it immensely. Rick for sure!
  9. Somebody just has to mention this: who in the world would name a place the GOLDEN DONG? +1 with Mike assessment on his picture. The guy is free from worry and cares less than maybe all of us. Wish I can be so care free...maybe I need to drink and eat at the Golden Dong!
  10. Dan, Stay strong through the process. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your wife. P,ease keep us posted. Barry
  11. Curious to know where exactly that place is ?
  12. I suppose we must very close to the equator as you folks see us...
  13. +1 on southern members. That's funny, in a good way.
  14. Thanks SundayRider! I always enjoy those who share new materials. If anyone has not seen the political show HOUSE OF CARDS on Netflix should take a peek. Pretty good series with Kevein Spacey, Kate Mara and Robin Wright...
  15. I live fairly close to Inverness, about 30-40 minutes. From that google earth, it seems that there is not any REAL reason to be down that raccoon court because I don't see any other houses, again from the google earth provided. He stated this: I found the tracking #. I hope you insured the seat, because UPS drop'd it over my fence last night after 9pm. It disappeared after that. The sheriff is out looking for it. Hey, that says it was an issue AFTER it was delivered. Was this the UPS driver first day or a seasoned 13 year veteran? I have never heard of UPS 1- dropping it over a fence such as it shows 2- drop off anything at 9pm. However if it was confirmed that is was delivered, regardless of time, and there was no request to sign for it, then IMHO, your job is DONE!!! " it disappeared after that" . Now you have to actually hand deliver? What's next, free installation? It will suck if PP keeps your money, but like the rest +1 on being pro active and doing your own leg work with a paper trail to provide PP to release your funds. Hope it works out. Keep us posted. PS: from now on, everything gets a signature....
  16. The Biltmore in Asheville is a must if time isn't an issue. It is an amazing place. Went there during Christmas time. Wow...
  17. I NEVER see another RSV when I am riding locally. locally to me is usually over 80-200 miles. I once saw an 06 RSTD and it was a female. I tried to chat with her about the bike but she was as friendly as a rattlesnake ready to strike. So, I slithered away......
  18. What an amazing experience you had. I can't imagine the roller coaster of emotions, but I must say, your ability to detail this on the forum made me as close to the scenario as possible. Glad you are ok, and thank you for sharing...
  19. Strictly an A-hole move on the part of those wanna be tough guys. One thought does come to mind. Growing up and living there, that type of chasing is USUALLY for a reason. Perhaps the driver of the range rover cut someone off or had words prior to what we see. Not condoning the pack mentality, but something must have been not cool for 30+ bikes to be tailing you that distance. Just saying...
  20. Ha ha...absolutely. In such a case I say why not try it. Besides, Toms handle is tuff Tom, so his windshield must be tuff enough also to handle the rain x...
  21. In that case...have some fun with the rain X !!!! Previous posts were advising against it, but hey, if it works for you, then so be it!
  22. Point taken, but was cracking some fun. I agree about the carbs and cassette... My Vulcan 1500 is 14 years old and is FI....go figure.
  23. The plastic has a coating on the windshield that has been known to peel off and others state a hazing. Good luck and keep us posted.
  24. That looks just like my ex fiancé now. Except I feel bad for the orangutan that is has to look like my ex... My bad...the orangutan weighs 250# less and doesn't have that much hair...
  25. Forgot the following: A tad more modern, you can say its a 2013 and no one will know any better... parts are probably more readily available and without rust... either bike is more reliable than most all HDs... You can switch back and forth on the forum and confuse us all on which bike ya talking about.... Soon Yammer will be done cursing and screaming... Good luck on the 2nd gen. I know for me, black cherry is one of my favs...
