  1. :rotf:
  2. Mine had the barons lowering kit from P.O. But nothing done to front. Also had the butt butler seat mod. I can be flat footed. I ride in all weather and all traffic comfortably. And I am 5'8... Bike handles fine.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to post this. Worth a try at some point.
  4. Thanks Craig, My Vulcan has V&H long shots which are loud. For the RSV, just looking or a slight more rumble or deeper tone. Was just getting opinions on RK, because I hav pipes new sitting still in garage. Should have been on 2-3 months ago. Keep getting sidetracked with other obligations.
  5. Hey!!!!.... Here is NOTHING wrong with that look. Besides, now you can wash your face and head with one mighty swoop of water
  6. Unfortunately Mike, yamaha has their hands in too many things, and its quite obvious the mighty venture and its above loyal followers, do not bring in the cash flow or prestige needed to keep or enhance the RSV profile ... I agree....sad.
  7. Jeff, I understand the tug o war going on inside your head. A few months ago I was pros/cons list on selling vs. keeping. A Goldwing was in my cross hairs, so much so I test rode one 350 miles and have pics of it in my garage!!! I do not know what precipitated your thoughts on possibly selling. My suggestion would be to sit and sleep on it unless it HAS to be sold. I did not sell mine and so far I made the RIGHT choice by keeping it. The good part is that you'll probably sell it fairly quick, the good part is if you keep it, from Ecks point of view you have a killer bike. Don't go back and forth too much, IMO, make ya nuttier than a fruit cake. Make a decision and go for it. In the end, you have to be happy.
  8. Those that have, or have had RK pipes...do you NOT like them?? What are you NOT happy with. I have a brand new set, never used and was going to put them on. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks
  9. Glad it's an out patient procedure. Enjoy Florida. The weather should be absolutely perfect for those dates... Good luck with the surgery RR...
  10. I saw how you interact at Vogel and don't think you're too old. Perhaps when we ride and meet with the people on this site, we are witnessing, smart, safe, giving, family style vibes. I live in Florida where i see people ask for $3.45 of fuel in his 4X4, but put 4 cases of beer on the counter. I also have gone in and out of rider jurisdiction where I do biker runs, poker runs, and hit places. I myself do not drink while on the bike, but that's ME. If and when I feel as if I am not having fun, being uncomfortable or things are out of hand, I simply leave. I am also older now and my priorities change. I think Joe, you're just spoiled hanging out with us !!!
  11. That is a Very nice gesture to offer a paint job. That's yet another reason why I love this site. The never ending giving....
  12. and you were awesome too bobby-o !!!!
  13. I have had several conversations with Playboy in the past. An overall good guy.
  14. Eck and Konnie are amazing people. Met them at Patti and Dons gathering in Tennessee about 5 months ago. These folks make you feel at home, from minute one. After the weekend I felt a soft spot for these two. And when Eck tells me I can stay at his place if I ever came his way, well to me that's awesome....to them, that's normal. Great people.
  15. +1 on that. If you trust your surgeon to open you up, then by golly at least trust him to follow his recovery advise. Good luck. Keep us posted
  16. Have any specifics Mike?
  17. Not entirely true. People still TRAILER those Hardleys. Just check A1A down near Daytona, those trucks and trailers are lined up from head to toe. Is part of the HD rules as an owner is to put as little mileage on as possible?
  18. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  19. Was probably bearings from another broken down HD on the side of the road that he used. maybe it'll knock more sense in him next time...do not use side of the road HD ball bearings for his sling shot :whistling:
  20. It is an incredible waste of valuable time and effort to make sure you get a demerit for silly things. If that were me, the non printable New York vocabulary would be an eye opener for some. Glad for you, that you didn't accept that nonsense.
  21. THAT was quite funny....:rotf:
  22. I laughed the second time around. Next time he needs a helmet to protect is dome, never mind his hand. And maybe a cup and some eye protection.
  23. Saw that you tube link. He seems like a real easy going guy. Some of those trips and times are insane. Thanks for the link. I never knew him before but know of him now.
  24. Great Job Lewis, Patti and the gang. I will be at the next Vogel for sure!
  25. Absolutely!! Keep in touch when you are free and lets do it. Since I ride mainly solo down this way, I have discovered a few nice roads and places...
