Should we postpone this Saturdays meet and eat? 2 main reasons. First is the weather as of now, has 50% or more storms Second is a number of the "regulars" are unable to make it for different reasons. Want to get some advice or any info or ideas on how we all want to proceed if Saturday is going to be a wet one...

This rant isn't just based on this incident but overall many of which are so careless and senseless...Just because there are "too many" to enforce or stop, or it's been like this for X years, does not mean things need to stay the same. We also read by candlelight at one point in history, do we do that now? Laws that are lax, isn't an excuse to just not take time to do it right. On top of that, if Florida, who claims to be broke all the time would institute heavy fines, and maybe jail time or rescinding of DL, maybe people may make an extra ounce of effort. Everywhere I go here it seems people have " oh well..." Type of attitude. Astonishing.

Please welcome my NY brother and new Venture owner to this site

Dion, we missed ya and yes, some excellent home cooking from the Mrs... bring all your stuff, relays tools etc. it's officially not my bike any longer but when I explain to Sunn why this is important, i believe we get 2 thumbs up for the job... I look forward to seeing you, Steve: we had a great ride back and yes I made the correct turn and we were worn out thanks to the sun. but I'll take that versus storms. Thank you so much for the hospitality and first class work on everything you do. Hugs to Marilyn from all of us at the Doherty compound -
Yes sir Dion.

No worries and thanks Dion. We expect to touch down at Steve's somewhere in the neighborhood of 9-930am. Don't wanna keep Steve ALL day. Plus we are trying to dodge the storms... -

If the rain chances increase we may get a rain check. We'd like to get as early a start as possible. What time would be acceptable without getting on the wife's bad side... -
I am pleased and proud to announce that it is official. A member of the site since December of 2013, Today was the first time out on his newly purchased 2003 RSV. Please welcome My brother Sunn, who goes by El Gato Natural on this forum... He was the lucky recipient who bought my RSV, when I chose to explore my GW options. he also owns a 1982 Honda CB900F super sport, original shape and miles under 25XXX... .. Overall he is fairly new to motorcycling, has a veracious appetite to learn, and I have been bragging about you knowledgeable knuckleheads for quite some time. please make him feel welcome and at home... He will already be joining us on our Florida M&E, as he is staying with me and my family for a few weeks from NYC. We will be going to visit Steve at his home Saturday for the HD lightbar install, he will also be joining us on the IR, and so he has a lot of riding, and catching up to do He certainly does not need me to babysit him around, but if you interact or ask, "who is this guy". then perhaps this gives a small background. I am very proud he is a VR member and owner. I am even more proud he is part of the family...

My 2 cents is its a scam. its an offshoot of what has been flying around CL forever. Please stay away

I would JUMP at the chance to take mike up on his offer. he is extremely well liked, knowledgeable, funny, smart and can help you a bunch, just like many of the bunch here. Some other things to consider: learn to take on/off windshield, take(split)fairing, change own oil and filter, learn carb synch and air pressures. all can be done from reading and studying the tech forum info sites. if the bike has been maitained and not stored in a rusty garage on a dirt road, then fill er up and ride..... oh BTW...welcome

Mystery part...What is this pin?

Is there anything this guy DOESN'T know??. -
+1 on both accounts. I used it on a trial run, mine is the gopro3 black. I shot a few drum videos for a guy wanting to see me play. Picked up drums well and the vid works well. Takes some getting used to.

Some pretty good ideas. I Also would reach I out to Rick butler first. However he is prepping to embark on a summer vacation with the wife. Russell day long seats, as previously mentioned has never had anyone unhappy, except initially on cost. ultimate seat was what I saw on a few spiders Memorial Day weekend in Daytona when I was hitting some stores.

Looks very nice indeed. Good thing it isn't a Hardley...the flag may have ruined the warranty. :rotf:
