  1. Believe it or not Vito certain places in Florida, do have some minor hills and twisties. Of course not like other places. Florida also has some crazy backroads that question your accuracy on the fuel gauge too. I won't brag about Florida roads because I prefer riding in Alabama, Tennessee, NC etc. but we have some pluses and minus like everywhere else. The better weather is slowly coming...
  2. So fellas and ladies, chime in and let me/ each other know if St.Augustine is the majority interest. I would like to lean towards Oct 4, since We don't have the kids that weekend, maybe this time the wife will join me. She LOVES St. Augustine...
  3. Care to PM the safe hiding spot?? Or any suggestions...
  4. Honda did drop the ball on that issue. To be fair, we do not have the cassette flap to tape the spare key to the inside.. However, I do like the individual locking and unlocking of individual bags, instead of just locking all or none...
  5. Eck, you never cease to come up with more gems!! Thanks
  6. Interesting to know Michael, in case I need a quick ride to the store...
  7. Potential time frames are Oct 4, or Oct, 11 weekend....
  8. To give everyone ample time to prep and prepare, as well as to allow the cooler weather to come to town, I was contemplating either Oct 4, or 11. Thoughts?
  9. Another option for some of us southern riders is a place called sisters restaurant in 480 E Railroad Ave Boca Grande, FL 33921 United States Reviews look good, ride look doable for most if not all...
  10. Preliminary thoughts are some place in the heart of st. Augustine. The weather should be spectacular and we can make a full day of it if one choose to. Thoughts? Yay or nay? If yay, I will hone the search for either a specific place or a we can group at one spot and investigate once there. The little town has a lot of smaller places, which I am not familiar with many of them. The ride should be cool..
  11. I thought you said Karen was going to? Ok, I don't wanna step on her toes...get the green light from her. I don't wanna get in trouble...
  12. Tru that Puc
  13. When I saw the pic, I chuckled out loud. The dog DOES resemble cowpuc....:rotf:
  14. Because sadly this situation has happened to me in the past, I would be reluctant to go if I can't reach the guy. Of course he may be with his kid at the park, or tinkering, or maybe something more serious. That said, anyone with a blatant disregard of my time, rarely gets another opportunity... If he does calls, explain you would love to complete the transaction however, he will have to make the trip to you. If he is SINCERE about it, he shouldn't balk. My 0.02
  15. We've been out that way, haven't we?
  16. Avon venoms, front and rear. Never an issue. Thousands of miles across country. Excellent handling in wet weather
  17. It's always sad when good people pass on before it's time. I am sure they were well liked and beloved. Prayers to the family...
  18. Brian, out of curiosity....WHY are you selling the bike? Don't say because you don't ride, because after all this you will.
  19. I am sorry for hearing about this. Prayers for your friend and his family...
  20. Yeah Dion, keep me/ us posted. We shouldn't have anything semi finalized any time this week or next. Just make sure the tire and you are safe to ride...
  21. Donvito, Every Wednesday night at Quaker steak and lube( restaurant, bar) in Clearwater they have bike night. It's usually pretty packed with all sorts of bikes. Food is decent and have bands play and some vendors. I go every now and then. With or without anyone....
  22. Brian, I speak for all of us here that we certainly wish you a speedy recovery and safe procedure. Healing properly and physical therapy is essential. After that, when you're cleared to ride, we can make it a point to ride together to a few places. It's long overdue...
  23. We aren't too far from you at all. Perhaps one day we can meet up. Or even catch each other on a Wed. night at Quaker steak and lube...
  24. then I shall step aside to allow Karen to organize it. Ladies are better at organizing these types of things. I will be of help if need be. One suggestion is to perhaps try someplace new. Someplace not only semi central perhaps, but just new in general.
  25. Ok gang, are we willing to try it again? The last attempt had a lot of issues with me moving, brake Pad with family concerns but also the weather was hazardous with the rain and storms. Prior to that we had a few successful ones, I think 3 in a row. Is anyone/everyone willing to try something either in mid to late September or early October? biketoberfest does not count. IDK about you guys, But I really enjoy seeing you guys and chatting and kicking back. Brian, GEZ, Brake Pad and Karen, Steve and Marilyn, Tuff Tom, Crazy gaucho, and anyone else that wishes to attend. I'd like to hear from Y'all and see if we can get another one of these up and running. Thoughts???
