Here you go. Here is a link to it. This will explain it better than I can!! http://www.bladehelis.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=BLH3000

So I have been talking about an RC heli and my wife said to go ahead and just order it. Our local hobby shop goes with the pricing from Horizon Hobby online. So I was looking at Horizon and they had a Blade MSR RTF for $59.99. Usually $129.99. SO we went right to the local shop and ordered it. They honored the $59.99 price and gave me an additional 5% off. They also ordered 2 sets of extra blades, skids, and rotor gear and threw them in for free. Nice deal on a little 4 channel fixed pitch. It will keep me busy for a while.

I got it this morning. Just hit delete.

I have a stock seat. PM sent.

I would rather buy a Triumph Rocket 3 over the new Valk. Rocket 3 looks much better to me and more power as well.

Ok I am decent at fixing stuff, but not figuring out what to fix. SO my issue is the way the bike runs. On these cold mornings lately, I use the choke to start the bike. I let it warm up some, push the choke in most of the way and take off. A mile or so down the road, I push the choke in the rest of the way. Bike starts running worse. Even after my 30 mile commute (mostly highway at 70+ mph) the bike is good and warm but still runs worse. Not necessarily bad, but if I leave the choke out just a tad, it runs incredible. Sounds better and the throttle response is lightning fast. So if I am running better with a little choke, what do I need to fix? Carbs were synched in the last 6 months or so.

I have the same question as well. I can always find the L14610, but never the PL14610. Stopped at Walmart to get the Bosch filters this morning and of course once again, they didn't have any. I was going to get the Purolator, but all they had was the L14610 and I didn't want to get it if it is wrong. The Advanced Auto does have the PL14610, but they are definitely not $3.25. They were closer to $10.

99 RSV bought October 2012. So it has been just over a year and last time I looked, I had put roughly 17K miles on it so far. Being a big guy, this is the most comfortable bike I have ridden (Victory is really close). I would like to have it for a long time and many more miles if I can get all my issues sorted out. I am getting there little by little as time and $ allow.

Knowing the Bosch filter number is great. Surprisingly enough, that is the same filter my Acura MDX uses. Guess I will just buy Wal-Mart out next time and stock up.

I am 320 on my own. Then add baggage (on a trip) and then 150 pounds if my wife rides. Hagon heavy duty is awesome with fatty me and the wife both riding. And like I said, I like stiff, but it was a little stiff with factory setting for just me. Back it off some and it is perfect.

Black Exhaust
Ventureless replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have been sitting here researching some and it looks like I will have to have it all ceramic coated. Or find a black header and exhaust made for the RSV. Priced one shop and it would be roughly $400 to have them ceramic coat all of it. -
Does anybody have a full black exhaust from the headers back? If so, what exhaust is it or how did you pain or coat them? I am trying to rid my bike of chrome all together.
-
I also went with Hagon (heavy duty for me). Love it but I think I still need to do some adjusting. Hagon said they set it to where they think it should be based on the weights I gave them and to try it first and then adjust it if needed. It was stiff which I like, but maybe to stiff. I did back it off some and it feels better. May go a bit more in the near future. And to adjust mine, I did not remove the shock but it was a pain in the a^^. I couldn't use the supplied shock wrench either. I just used a big set of adjustable channel locks and very carefully turned the nut.

I have been having issue after issue with my 99. Runs great and it is all little stuff for the most part. But it is still annoying me to wonder what and when will the next thing go wrong. I was close to picking up a new leftover 2012 a month or so ago. They wanted $16K and probably could have gotten them down another $1000 or so. I think it was a good deal, but then I started thinking that I could spend the same or just a tad more and get a new Victory (side by side in the dealership). And the Victory would have all the features I would want in the Venture except the nice V4. But just to have FI and ABS, I think I would give up the V4. I am waiting until March/April to do anything as there is another bike coming out that I want to look into. 2014 Suzuki Vstrom. Not sure of the price yet, but I love the bike. And it has FI, ABS, traction control, adjustable suspension, etc. And if it is down close to $10K, I would keep my 99 RSV and buy it also. http://www.cyclenews.com/423/22469/Racing-Article/First-Look--2014-Suzuki-V-Strom-1000-ABS.aspx

Fuel Problems?
Ventureless replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yeah if I order stuff to rebuild, I am ordering everything the first time and replacing it all. I figure a 99 with 80K miles, it would be worth the $10 or $15 to have it run another 80K or so miles before needing it again. I am thinking about just ordering a new one. My issue with that is that by the time I get the stock petcock, I would be paying roughly $80 with shipping and all. I can get the Pingle for $100. But is the Pingle any better? -
Fuel Problems?
Ventureless replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I definitely have the oil thing going on as well, but it is more than that. There is definitely fuel from somewhere other than my recently leaky petcock. -
Fuel Problems?
Ventureless replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Been Seafoaming. Usually every 2nd or 3rd tank. So roughly once a week as the bike is ridden usually every day (when not torn apart for maintenance). -
Ok so I finally get all my electrical crap sorted and fixed. Now I am having fuel issues. First I have a leaky petcock. It used to leak on run so I started using reserve all the time because it didn't leak in that position. Well now it has started leaking in both positions. Pretty easy to take care of. Would you guys recommend just replacing all the orings and crap in it or just buying a new petcock and just replacing it? Also I keep finding petcocks on ebay for a 96-99 Royal Star. $24 brand new. This is versus $60+ for a 99-11. It looks set up the same as mine. I do have a 99. But I just want to make sure if I go that route that it will fit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-XVZ1300-ROYAL-STAR-FUEL-PETCOCK-GAS-TANK-SWITCH-/140873124952?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20ccb14c58&vxp=mtr Second issue is I believe one leaky carb. Not sure exactly what the issue is or where, but I have an extra set of carbs. So my plan is to just rebuild the extra set I have and then just do a quick swap once they are done. Also replacing fuel lines while I'm in there (if needed). So my question on that is, what is the best rebuild kit to buy for the carbs and is there anything else I should do to them while I am in there? Thanks

Walmart Platinum Burner LEDs
Ventureless replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
In Virginia the roadlights, fog lights, etc have to be wired to where they will go off when the high beams are on and on when the low beams are on. I will admit that I did not wire mine that way. Mine are on a toggle and I just manually turn them on and off. The only time I need to worry is for inspection and all I need to do for that is put a cover over them. I already fabricated a cover for that and all is good. Honestly with these on there now, I will probably never turn my high beam on again. It can't even come close to the light the 2 LEDs put out. And as far as aiming them, I shouldn't have to do to much. They really aren't that blinding from ahead which really surprised me for the light coming out of them. Also there were 2 different options. A wide angle flood and a spot beam. I got the spot beam and I believe it said 30 degree pattern. Maybe 35. I think they are perfect. They light up just enough side road for me and light up 75-100 yards directly in front of me. -

I'm sorry I missed it as well. Riding, good food, and shooting. One thing I can't figure out is how you could let that one guy wear that Patriots shirt in your home. -

Ok got both my new LED driving lights on. Was able to mount them on the same bracket as the old driving lights in there place. 2 18 watt each lights and they are bright. Still have some aiming to do, but they are on and bright. Attached are a couple crappy pics showing just the regular light and then the 2 new lights. I will take some better pics tomorrow evening when I am not as tired and lazy (been a long day). I will show the distance difference in the next pics as well. -
I am cheap as well but I have looked at this as a good investment. And for me to ride all winter, it saves me roughly $50 a week in fuel just riding to or from work. So in one month, what heated gear I have paid for itself and then some.
