  1. Lost the right rear turn signal chrome rim & visor on my '06 RSV returning from Ky Bike Week Rally yesterday. Anybody have either or both laying around they wanna' sell???? (Would include nightlife pics from the rally, but, this is a family oriented website......right???):cool10::cool10: "Ride safe and don't eat the yellow snow!!!"
  2. Just got mine installed and they work great!! Will post pics when I return from KY Bike Week at "Little Sturgis, KY" Had M61A1MECH wire them for me and was truly "Plug 'n play" Contact him w/ particulars for your ride. Rear reflectors come apart and pry out of holder so you don't hafta' drill into guard to run the wires either to under seat harness or rear wire bundle at tail light!!.....:cool10:
  3. I also bought the http://www.antennax.com/p-4729-2-eurostyle-13-inch-antenna-masts-harley-davidson.aspx and the 8mm to 6mm stud adapter (2) from "Ace is the place!" store. Took all of 10 min to switch over and, from a short ride around the neighborhood, think the radio reception (AM & FM) is about the same (Crappy!!!)! As mentioned, even used the chrome adapter piece that attaches to the bottom of the antenni (Plural?)
  4. I ride "solo", stand 5'7", weigh 185 or so and have to wear 1.5" heeled boots to reach the ground "flat-footed"! Is there any reason for me to want to lower the rear end? Does it really make that much difference in slow speed handling???? :confused24:
  5. Bought a Wolo "Bad Boy" air horn http://www.jpcycles.com/product/360-110?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=bad%20boy%20air%20horn&utm_campaign=general-brand&creative=4541494923&device=c&matchtype=e and Carbon1's bracket & wire harness. Made installation a piece o' cake!!!!:cool10:
  6. The "China" one seems identical to the "American" listed ones and their(American) instructions are (Translated???): "THIS PART INSTALLS FAIRLY EASILY. YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE SIDE SHROUDS ON EACH SIDE OF THE RADIATOR, REMOVE THE 2 BOLTS THAT HOLD YOUR RADIATOR ON, DROP THE RADIATOR DOWN AND SLIDE THE TOP TAB OVER THE PIN ON TOP OF THE RADIATOR. THEN PUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER SLIDING THE SIDE TABS ON EACH OF SIDE OF THE RADIATOR AND SLIP THE TABS BETWEEN THE ONES THAT HOLD THE RADIATOR ON." "GOOD LUCK, MATEY :whistling:"
  7. Also installed the Cree kit, although, I bought the 2400 lumen(I think!) as they were out of the 1800 lumen. Easy install and definite difference in low/high beam! As I've previously stated, I cannot recommend the company, http://canadiancruisercustomizing.com/ , because of unresolved warranty issues.
  8. I have one and mounting it on the right side of handlebars does not allow enough angle for proper viewing. I heated and bent the piece w/ the ball on the end, but, weakened it enough so that it broke under vibration. It also takes up a lot of real estate when mounted. My Garmin nuvi50 would not respond until I cut out the transparent, heavy Plexiglas shield! I'm lookin' for another answer myself!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Thx to all who responded. Since I joined last year, I've made a lotta' changes to my '06 RSV. I might have been able to do those things without you guys (And girls ) but, I think it woulda' been a lot harder!!!!!!!!!! I won't be at the international, so, hope to see some of you guys (And girls:bighug:) at some future meet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Right!! I copied the wrong one to start with, which I corrected. Shoulda" been: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251532794292?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649= Thanks for noticing!!! ..............Bill:whistling:
  11. Try "Motorcycle Accessories" Seems less (400-500) but still lotsa' duplication!!!!
  12. Has anyone ordered one of these? Seems to be half the price of ones ordered from a United States address. Concerned about disclaimer that "There may be other import dues or fees when delivered!!!" http://www.ebay.com/itm/251532794292?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  13. I installed the Trucklite par 36 passing lights and am pleased with them. I also installed the CREE LED headlight kit with good results, although, I cannot recommend canadiancruisercustomizing.com for poor response to warranty issues.
  14. Bought a "Bad Boy" air horn and used Carbon1's bracket & wire harness. Installed w/ no difficulty!!!!
  15. They really light up the sides and immediate area in front. I had to tilt them up a bit from normal...a pain with the OEM buckets, but, doable!!!!
  16. Installed Cree LED from Canadiancruiser.com. I recommend the light, but, not the Company. Left a lot to be desired with customer service. Left me holding the bag on defective unit. ..........This website, Canadiancruiser.com, is no longer in use.............5/23/15
  17. Thanks KillDrag65. I also would like shorter antennas. I don't use the cb, but, would like to keep the look of two antennas. Didn't realize how poor the radio reception was until I put foam baffles behind the front speakers. Would you consider making two adapters for me? Also where did you get the antennas and is there any problem with attaching the wires?? Thanks again for the info................
  18. O.K. guys (and girls!!), I got both front (Amber) and rear (Red) lights in the mail yesterday. I think I know where to connect in the rear (Behind license plate), but, not really sure where to run the wires in front to get run-turn. Any help appreciated!!!!!...............Bill
  19. Got my lift adapter and free standing legs from Carbon1 on Wed. Works great!! Had to bend the rod a little to get through the holes, but, after that was as solid as the preverbal rock!!!.........
  20. Over the past few weeks, I've installed: Trucklite LED passing lights and a Cree LED headlight kit from canadiancruiser.com. They work great and the head light actually has a difference between low & high beam! I must, however, let you know I cannot & will not recommend canadiancruiser.com. I was VERY displeased with the service on defective merchandise. Let's just say I ended up paying for two kits, one with a defective bulb and no compensation. Kudos to burt2006 for his helpful advice!! He has a thread concerning installation of both. Pics to follow soon :):):):) I just today installed a "Bad Boy" horn with bracket & wiring harness from carbon1, along with his lift adapter and legs and are really pleased with them as they work great. Kudos to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Don't be rode hard and put away wet!"
  21. I wear both (Not at the same time!) depending on the circumstances. I have several pr of overpants from Cycle World and Leather Up.com. Both are armored and waterproof, but, awkward for me to wear. I wear chaps in the summer and on short trips. I believe in the "ATGATT" rule!!!
  22. Yea!!! Thanks again Larry for making the lift adapter and air horn wire harness/bracket!! Sent you my address a minute ago, but, my 'puter is acting weird. Let me know if you didn't get it......................Bill
  23. What do I need to buy(Other than Road King mufflers:)) to change my stock '06 RSV mufflers to RK's? P.S. I don't weld, make metal stuff or have messed with my mufflers B-4!!!...................Thanks in advance, bill4you502 :confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24: "Ride with the sun at your back and the wind in your face!"
  24. Thanks guys for the feed back!!! I'm gonna' order both sets and take it from there! May need your help again!! "CAN'T HAVE ENOUGH LIGHTS FOR ME!"
  25. I've been told to reverse the rear brake pads on RSV every 8,000 ml. or so. Is that good information?:confused24:
