  21. old goat, the idea that you should go out and run the whatever out of your bike could be the dumbest idea i've seen posted today... the part where you said that fuel ran out from under the bike.... should put the brakes on running the bike untill you have made sure that there is no fuel mixed in with your engine oil. yes the float may have only stuck a little bit?? or maybe a little bit too much?? if it sticks long enough to overflow untill fuel runs over into the crankcase and you take her for a spin or even just push it outside and let it run, you may destroy an engine... and even if the well minded folkes here were only trying to offer some help,, some free help can be very expensive... nope i don't know it all, nope i never said i did... my suggestion wont cost you a dime either.. if you see the oil level is higher, or smells like fuel..pitch it and pull the carbs. i said it once before and i will offer it yet again.. find a warm spot to work on it down there and myself along with a few other members that i have talked to, would be glad to come down and give you a first hand, 1st or 2nd gen lesson in all your repair needs for the same price as the above advice. and no, don't change your plugs yet. mike
