there is no speedo cable on a 2nd gen venture. check your speed sensor and all the connections from there to the speedo, the cruise and auto volume will not work without a signal from the sensor. if it were a problem with the display.... then the other items would still work... thus= your not getting a signal. mike

the first thing i would look into is the ground connection to the box, the one that comes in from outside and connects to the grounding bar for all the breakers. it needs to be **VERY** tight, or could cause this concern. mike

not sure if you want the right saddlebag stripe or the tour pack stripe, your post states something about luggage rack?? here is the yamaha part number and price for the stripe on the right saddlebag. 4XY-2840J-80-00 SADDLEBAG GRAPHIC SET $101.54 yamaha does sell all the stripes for each bag on the ventures. tell your local idiot at the stealership to look up the bag that the stripe is on, and show you the blow up of the attatchements "they are there along with the hinges and locks" mike

often when folks install the wires for the passing lamps, they will run it near the steering stops where it can get pinched and damaged. turn the bars all the way too the stops and check there first. mike.- 3 replies
