  7. take a look at the connections at the fuse box and see if the old fuse had hot spots at the contact points? I had this same concern several years ago and ended up installing another fuse holder because the contact points were damaged too much to use and kept blowing due to poor connection.

  18. straightened several this way: remove lever from bike and put on concrete floor and hold loosely with the ball end touching floor and the slave end end touching the floor with high center pointing to the sky then take a heavy 22oz or better hammer and tap the high point in a light repeating manor until the lever has met the angle you desire. don't rush the process and don't use a light hammer and a heavy hand heavy hammer light hand tap tap tap and don't try it on wood or steel or bench of any size . concrete floor required. no heat!!

  23. the steel wool will last until it makes them rust out, it will create rust and hold moisture. go to the motorcross section of the stealership and get a good quality 2 stroke packing kit and install and it will last a great deal longer than most, because it's designed to run at a higher temp. I have the bubs on mine and the nasty boys (slash cut) on the wife's bike.
