  3. tame the dragon very early in the am on a week day not week end, the young bucks are out to prove who can get killed the fastest. most of that bunch will sleep in late to get past the hangover, and you can enjoy a great twisty road without the need for a stick and a spoon.. ditto what others have said, there are many great things to see and enjoy, don't cross over the center line and don't let others set your pace. be safe. mike
  4. see if this works for ya? i have added color codes to match the rsv. i have made 3 sets of these for other members, and they are trouble free. ran a dedicated ground to trailer also, not in the picture..sorry in from bike out to trailer n= neg black- red= poss+ mike
  5. if you don't put relays in line, the auto cancel signals will also not work properly.
  6. i had a set of avons put on my first 2003 venture, 1 day before going on a trip to the dragon, they felt greasy kinda like new tires will untill you scuff them... Well the fealing stayed that way for about 1500 miles of the trip, and then felt ok..not great, just ok.... Well the ok feeling left me when the rear tire blew out at 2600 miles of the trip on the way home!!! If you have ever had a blow out on a motorcycle while riding two up pulling a loaded trailer at full speed at 9 oclock at night in the middle of no where...............well lets just say this... After i got stopped and made sure the wife and i were safe, and the shorts were checked for soil... My biggest fear after we got home was that if i called avon, that they would warranty the tire and i would be stuck with another p.o.s tire that may cost me or my wife our lives.........warranty is great...but whats it worth to you?? Michelin commanders. Mike
  7. is this what you had in mind? power house dam at rock river in Dixon illinois generates electricity mike next target. you/ your bike/ a nascar race track or entrance sign/ and 3 fingers held up. see finger demonstration in my dam picture..lol mike

  10. anyone that tells you that the tar snakes are not a problem.....well they are full of ..it don't matter what brand of tires you run, sure some may be worse than others, but they all will give you this greasy feeling under the rite conditions. the wider tires will sure make you notice the snakes more than the narrow tires on the smaller cc bikes. mike.
  11. the beads can be used with the 90% stem. use a engraving tool or a vibrating device against the stem when installing. they seem to do a fine job in my bikes. mike
  12. no reason the think that this wouldn't be a good choice for you, unless your long in the legs...i have a 38 inch inseam, and the upper fairing does not agree with my knees. beond that concern, it's the best bang for the buck bike, that i ever owned. mike.

  24. I am working on a list of everyones favorite roads to travel and places to go and eat. I would be very greatfull of any information on your favorite path and destination and the quality of service and food at your favorite spot. my plan is to compile this list and share it with the group at a later date, and credit those that wish credit and any comments that they wish to share, along with names and what they ride. please remember to give state/city/address/ and phone# of locations. I would like the information sent to an e-mail address away from the site only to avoid getting off the path of information and starting other subjects. ************** http://www.greatroads@yahoo.com ******************* THANK YOU in advance for your input Mike & cherie _________________ RIDE SAFE, RIDE OFTEN..MIKE www.royalstarventure03@yahoo.com
