ok guys, i see this about several products with several different problems, and don't wish to get anyones dander up....but here is my take on this avon issue, only because i had a near death experience with avon tires. the call to the tire dealer goes like this: hi my name is mike, i have a pos tire on my bike, i found it to be less than safe and gave big dollars for it.... i want you to put another tire on my bike at a cost to me (mount & balance) and not charge me for the pos tire to replace the pos tire that i already paid for... this will give me a greater warmer fuzzier feeling about driving myself and my kids or wife or s/o at highway speeds untill i am fortunate enough to by chance find that the next tire does the same damn thing... How does getting another tire for free, make anyone feel better about having a pos tire in the first place? I had a set, put them on before a trip to the draggon i owned them 2300 miles and 5 days and will never have them again, not even for free....ok i'm done venting i have several friends that like them just fine. mike

my youngest daughter has been called "possum" from about 2 weeks of age, as when we would hear her making noise in her crib, and we would go to look in on her and see her eyes open and cooing and chirping untill she would see us, then she would shut her eyes and pretend to be asleep...thus "playing possum" as she has been known ever since. she just had her 9th birthday last month.

Annie, it takes me about 4 hours to clean mine, and worth every second. the chrome works much better than the lights for safety. but i like lots of both ..just to be safe!!! btw, thanks again for the patches and i do plan to cover that land on a scooter one day!! mike

the starting fluid and the lighter is not that tough of a task, if you use caution and common sense, it's just a controled explosion:scared: -
Bazooka MC-YAM-AMK Amplifier Kit is available from crutchfield and i wonder if anyone here has used this product? i like the idea that it will plug into the system without cutting any wires, however it is a bit $$$$$ pricey$$$ and looking for any info or product reviews thanx mike.

here is my take on the bike, after a 2 hour test ride. power: plenty handling: great at low speeds, scary poor at highway speeds comfort: great for driver, poor for passenger controles: easy to operate trans: noisey appearance: ODD. storage: poor trade value: poor the nutshell answer: if you want a city cruiser, stop light to stop light power, great low speed handling bike, you ride alone and don't take much stuff with you, noisey shifting, and want a bike that will turn heads, and plan to never trade it for another brand........this bike is for you. did i mention odd?? i got the feeling that when others said it was ugly, that upset you.. so i left ugly out of my report. and didn't say what way the heads would turn. mike

early production bubs did have a weld inside the right muffler that would keep the pipe from installing all the way, you have to nibble a little off the tail of your head pipe or elongate the mounting holes in the bubs and try not to notice the gap left from the union point. mike

Help, wifes Virago is using a lot of oil
eusa1 replied to raceman62race's topic in General Tech Talk
often times these machines get aftermarket exhaust installed and the owners figure that if it runs good and don't blow up.....it must be ok....NOT!! If the machine is left to run lean too long the damage may be too far gone to adjust. however, see if you can find out if the machine is running too lean////too hot/// and get it jetted to give it more fuel to cool it off and try running casterol gtx20/50 oil and also tell me if the machine is cold blooded or not, when starting cold engine? mike. -
3 of us heading your way!! look out!

Help, wifes Virago is using a lot of oil
eusa1 replied to raceman62race's topic in General Tech Talk
questions for you: 1: is the bike stock//exhaust/stock jetting? 2: what grade and brand of oil are you using? 3 how long does it take you to put 1000 miles on the bike?/weeks/days/years? better answers require more information: ready to help.mike -
