  7. a good friend from Tenessee was telling of a time when he was the driver of a tour bus of a country singer, and they were late for a "gig" a concert.. and he said that he was driving the bus with {her ears laid back} to get there on time.. did you ever watch a horse or dog or any animal run real fast?? they have their ears laid back... that thars funny.. i dont care whoya are.

  10. banks and loan companys will do most anything to keep from repoin your vehicle, it is possible that he is only 2 months past due in payments, however the only reason they would send an agent out for the bike in that short of time, is from lack of contact or no responding customer. the banks dont want the bike, all they want is their money, and any effort to send any type of payment is better than playing hide and seek, even if you send them 5 bucks! it shows an effort on your part, and if they accept the funds, they are willing to work with you. most vehicles of that age have a loan value that is smaller that the fees that can come from the cost of the repo service and storage, and the repo service has to hold the bike for 28 days before it can be re-sold and that loan company can never write a loan against that same vin# ever again, so that means that it must be a paid in full purchase and makes it just that much harder to sell// thus bringing the value of the machine even lower, then paying the storage fees and the repo fees ect..... the bull/sht that you see on tv with operation repo... is all an act, and all is very very wrong and breaks most every repo law known to man. any repo agent in the country that does not take a copy of the title and a " HOLD HARMLESS" letter from the loan company with the same vin # on it is a fool and should be jailed, mistake or no mistake, it's still theft! it's the fly by night jerks like him that make my insurance rates so damn high that i too am looking for another line of work to pay the bills. that bike would come home to my garage along with enough money to cover a few loan payments to keep me from jailing the thief. ok ok sorry to rant... but on the bright side, all my bikes and cars are paid for, so i guess i will have a place to sleep if they ever come to repo my house:doh: please let us know how this unfolds......mike
  11. the repo agent is a fool, the state comerce commision requires the agent to carry a hefty insurance policy that would cover such foolish mistakes, the owner should demand the local police to file a report of stolen property asap, before it gets returned, and only accept the return with neutral witnesses present....police or attorney. if they drop the bike and the owner puts it in the garage without doing as i stated above... that would be the second foolish mistake. by the way, i am the the owner and operator of USA1 RECOVERY it's what i do, and no i dont go to florida.
  12. customer assistance toll free number for chevrolet is 800-222-1020 have your vin# and miles before you call do not use the word (recall) it is not a recall, the word recall will screw up the entire conversation and you will get no place in a hurry. ask them about the extended coverage or customer goodwill program that covers the intermediate shafts that clunk, some are being replaced and others are being pumped full of grease to make the noise go away for a while, however the case, it is not a safety issue, just a noisey pain in the ear... mike
  13. get the vin number and current miles, and call the local gm dealer, there has been a m program, "not a recall "for this concern and they are extending coverage to 100,000 miles and 10 years. e-mail me your info if the local shop cant help you.. and i will look it up and give you the program number for coverage. the problem is in the instument cluster only, not in the trans, or any speed sensors this program coverage is for all the full size gm trucks and yukons, denali, ect... from 02 to 06 i think. and they replace the entire cluster. mike.

  19. common concern on several 2nd gens that i have seen.. the 2 bolts that hold the left rear exhaust pipe to the left rear cylinder head, will leak oil around the threads and can be a bass turd to find. the bolt holes on some of the heads were drilled into the oil passage area, thus allow oil to pass into the threads and out onto the engine and down to the lowest point. remove bolts and put thread sealer onto the bolts and reasemble. not a hard job to do while the engine is cool. mike. ps the left side is the kickstand side. unless ya live down under .... then all bets are off..
