I think the thread has been lost here Don. This is all to do with our prospective 5,000th member is it not? Lot of superflous and spurious ideas being proffered. Better do something quick old mate. That magic figure is fast approaching!

Well Don. Anything that's powered by Subaru would have to be #1. Spear

Nuh. Sorry. Not for me. I tell you what though. If I DID do it, I'd at least have helmet-cam so I'd have both hands free to grab anything and everything as I did the walk. Looks like that guy's viewing as he films as he walks.

I know of a guy here in Oz who bought himself an old shipping container to store all his stuff whilst he went overseas for a year, and rented out his home. Put his Honda 750/4 in the container along with everything else, including an unsealed bucket of pool chlorine granules. You figure out what his bike looked like when he got home and opened the container.

Not fair. It's very easy to nominate a region, and get your mate from there to join at the last minute.:no-no-no: I like my idea bettererest of all!!! (Thanks for the support Peg)

Hey Kerry, This is a real good news story. Congrats on what was obviously a great day. My dad (85) is a prostate cancer survivor. I'm 56 and have regular check-ups. My PSA came in at 0.8 this week. Cholesterol is spot on. My doc said what ever I was doing - keep doing it. I owe it all to my ever-loving pillion who controls my diet - and hers. She's a pillion-in-a-million and worth lots of these . .

Wil. Watcha building? You got me intrigued, being an owner-builder myself. I've poured slabs and built carports and a house extension in the past 12 months. Pics mate. Pics please!!!

Hey Don, Being the originator of the "35 to go" post, permit me to throw in my 2c worth. How about everybody guessing the time and date that the 5,000th member joins? The nearest to that time and date (if nobody guesses it exactly) wins. All entries to be in before the end of this month. (If that's soon enough. The way we're going it might happen before then!!) Cheers mate, Spear.

Thanks Neil. I'll keep THAT one in mind. -
Sounds a bit to me like maybe Yamahahaha admits that its shock is crap, and only wishes it could build one like Works does? Why the heck doesn't Yamahahaha just out-source the shock to Works to make the bike a 100% machine. My rear shock crapped out at 29,000kms. Replaced it with a genuine unit from Yamahaha, only because I couldn't at that time afford the Works unit. And - I bought it from FlatOut in the States. (Thanks Chris!)

I suppose now Buddy you're gonna tell me that everything in that photo now fits in a laptop computer?

Its a hard disk in 1956.... In September 1956 IBM launched the 305 RAMAC, the first computer with a hard disk drive. The HDD weighed over a ton and stored 5MB of data. Makes you appreciate your 4GB USB flashdrive, doesn't it?

Okay Don. This is a technical-type question for you and all the other computer savvy people on this site. (Doesn't include me I'm afraid.) Can you identify this item being loaded into the hold of the aircraft? I'll give it a couple of days to see if anybody comes up with any ideas, before I post the answer.

Hi Don. Not a criticism, but an observation to let you know - - - when I open a post it seems to take longer than it used to. Anywhere up to 5 or 6 seconds. Is that right, or just the curse of distance between USA and AUS?

I reckon until he becomes a muffin, he remains a nuffin'.

Hey guys - all 4 of you. Congratulations all round.

I hope that's not something new in the States. That's been running is Oz for over 12 months. Hate to think you blokes were THAT far behind us!

Hey gang. I've posted elsewhere on this site about an annual trip me and my 4 brothers do every year before Easter. 2008 was year 5, and in the name of technology one of my brothers decided to mount a video camera on his Harley and film some of our ride. He's pretty tricky with A/V stuff, and he produced this little gem. Just to give you some stats - our ages range from 42 to 56. We live in different parts of the east of Australia, with the 2 brothers furtherest apart being separated by over 1,000 kms. So this year we met in the middle at a place called Stanthorpe, just over the border in Queensland. The bikes involved are my 2004 RSV, a 2007 Harley, a 2004 Harley, a 1998 Harley and a 1983 Honda Super Bol d'or. Enjoy - and I hope it loads okay for you. http://www.members.ceinternet.com.au:80/tpearson/assets/Stanthorpe.WMV

Your problem's easy fixed Chuck. Cut down your screen, and quit looking at all the gauges. Enjoy the ride and the scenery instead.
