Hey Don, I think that Aussie connection was me - asking permission to use the logo with a map of Australia on it. A biker chick here in Oz has her own patch designing and manufacturing business (runs it from home) and she does a fantastic job. Makes ALL my patches and badges for me. I'll ask her if she was bold enough to try and sneak in and advertise her wares on OUR site. (I know she is a member of the Ulysses Club down under [as am I] and she advertises on that site.) If she did I'll severely reprimand her, admonish her, and do whatever else is required by you. Sorry boss.

And I say, "Glad I live in Australia. Carry a weapon wilst travelling? Would never consider. And yes - Aussies leave their doors unlocked as well." Americans and their right to bear arms. Sheesh!!!! (End of discussion!)

How did you guys know so much about Australia? -
Sheesh - thanks Don. You know, I read that a million times and missed that. And I'm such a stickler for such things. My pillion oftens taunts me by calling me 'Mr Perfect'. I just tell her I'm not perfect, I just strive for perfection. Anyway all fixed up now. Thanks for the feedback. Stay safe.

Hey guys. Those of you who know me will be aware of my photographic bent. I've often been asked if I have a web site. Now I can say, "Yes I have." Fairly basic for starters, but I'll expand on it. Just wanted to 'get it out there' to see how it fares. Comments and critiques welcome. http://fotoshoppe.vpweb.com.au

Looks pretty good Don, but how come today's posts show as being made on the ninth day of February? (Think about it.) You guys talk about 9/11. To us folks in the 'normal' English-speaking world, that was the ninth day of November. (Keep thinkin' . . . . )

Greetings all, Just back from a weekend in Tasmania around Cradle Mountain. Decided to try some panorama photography. This is one of my better shots. Around 200 degrees view - five exposures 'stitched' together. Enjoy.

Maybe you wanted to go on a different sort of a venture?
-
Ooooh. Peg! That's NOT funny! (Well it sorta is if you wanna joke - but this is NO joking matter.) I'll go one better than you. Been in love with the same girl for 40 years and been happily married for 36 of them. And before anybody asks, that's the LAST 36 years - and still counting. That's me and my rock! And that's why God gave us 8 fingers and 2 thumbs - so we can keep working for a few more years. Nice work - from one sawdust and timber shaving officianado to another.

Hmmmmm. Looks like technology wins over common sense again - NOT! Perhaps the guy in the van should have been wearing the helmet with the HUD? Give me two eyes, two ears and a brain any day.

I have mentioned in the past that my pillion and I lost two of our three Border Collie dogs in the past couple of years. The remaining dog, Cooper, has been a bit lonely of late so I bit the bullet and got him a mate. Meet Chloe. Sorry they're not real good quality shots - done on my phone. First shot is Chloe and the other is Chloe and Cooper in the back of my ute. (That's pick up to you northerners!!) Ain't she sweet?

Hey Don. You and the bride enjoy the time-out mate. Leave the PC in the 'off' mode and forget about things for a while. We'll still be here when you get back. Spear. Oh yeah. Thanks again - for everything! BTW - did I mention it got down to -4degC here yesterday morning? Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

What is the proper way to clean a motorcycle

Bubber. If I showed your posts to my pillion, she'd kill ya. Does the word 'chauvanist' mean anything to you? -
So - when is Yamahahah going to rectify this on-going, in-built, frustrating problem? Surely it wouldn't be too hard for them to out-source the rear shock to the Works team. There is a heap of stuff on the bike that ISN'T made by Yammie (tyres, light bulbs etc) so why be so bl00dy precious about their dud shock? As the old saying goes, "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link." I'm afraid the dud shock puts the dud factor into the entire bike.

This time last night the pillion and I were in the midst of Bruce's concert. Damn, that man is good! Met him after the show and bought his latest CD/DVD - signed of course. He's off to Ireland and Britain in August for a tour.
-
Bruce did a promotional spot on local (National) radio today and listeners were invited to ring in and challenge him to play a tune. So - I rang. Spoke with him briefly and asked him to lay "Duelling Banjos" from the Deliverance movie. He said he had never had a reason to play it in the past but he'd give it a go. Wow! Blew me and the announcer away. When he finished he said liked it and would practice it for the show tomorrow night. Now THAT I'm looking forward to. Yep - Tommy Emmanuel is good but his guy is god!
