  1. Last time I heard reference to PSA, my doctor was going to lube his finger and check my - - (nah, sorry. Not going there. My bad!)
  2. I've just viewed that video clip, and it scared the crap out of me especially when a quick calculation tells me that 300km/hr equates to 83 metres per second. What length is the average tin top - 4 metres? 83 divided by 4 = close to 21? In other words if traffic was stationary and bumper-to-bumper he'd be able to pass 21 cars per second. What was he on (other than a Yammie)? Speed (of the methamphetamine type)? Absolute Richard Cranium.
  3. Lane splitting is illegal, unlawful and frowned upon in New South Wales. However, the State Government is trialling lane filtering in a couple of areas whereby bikes are allowed to moved to the front in traffic that is stationary at traffic lights and thereby effect a quick getaway ahead of the pack when the lights change. Sounds good to me, but damned near impossible seeing I'm now dragging around Annie's Voyager.
  4. Get a load of this guy's pillion. http://www.wimp.com/motorcycledog/
  5. Don't hold ya breath Condor. I just had a look at Tom's profile, and according to the information HE has posted, and I quote directly from that profile . . . " Bike Year and Model none right now " Go figure - -
  6. Geeze. You're a bugger for punishment girl. My thoughts will be with you whilst you're under the knife. God speed and a healthy recovery.
  7. Our only daughter has announced she will make me and the pillion grand parents again in July. Her first-born, our fifth grand child. Already have three grand sons, a daughter-in-law is expecting in April (that's four) and this one makes five. Feeling older - me? No way. Every grand child is making me younger.
  8. Prayers and thoughts comin' at ya from Down Under. Hang in there my friend.
  9. For my worth, I'd take a detour AND a diversion and give it a BIG miss. Look for something that is on the road, running, loved and for sale. That way you know it works. Like I said - my worth (which is worth about 2.08c in Oz)!
  10. Now the fires are close to home Annie. You can nearly see the Warrumbungles from here. Good friends live on a couple of thousand acres to the south-west but are far enough away not to be too worried. http://www.dailyliberal.com.au/story/1234488/bushland-inferno/?cs=112
  11. Just what I was thinkin'!
  12. See - told ya it would work its way over here!
  13. We were expected to hit 113 in my neck of the woods today, but only made it to 106. Gonna hang around for a another week or so they tell us.
  14. Ah - y'all a bunch of sissies. We got to 106 today.
  15. Just head 'Down Under.' Bikes and trailers all over the place!
  16. Thanks Don. (I thought I felt a slight tremor during the night!)
  17. Key KarlS. Welcome to the grand dad club. Your life has just begun! Woo hoo!!! I know - I have three grandsons, :bighug::bighug:all pre-school age and I have two more :bighug:grand kids on the way.
  18. Hey Miles. Yep, it is a hill - UPHILL all the way!
  19. I love doing this - it's called Aussie 'oneupmanship'. We're doing the count down to 2013 and as I type we have eight minutes to go. So - Happy New Year to y'all whenever it gets to you (about 10 hours or so). I hope you didn't fall over that fiscal cliff!
  20. What's commonly referred to Down-Under as 'dog turd'! (Well, you've seen what a dog turn looks like on your tyre [tire] when you run over it??)
  21. Hey Eck. I have a married son and a married daughter living in Adelaide. In fact my pillion-in-a-million is there now visiting. Give me the name of Jason's suburb and I'll figure how close he is. Ya never know, I might get to have a beer with him when I'm there next.
  22. Price here in Oz can be anywhere between $1.40 and $1.50 per litre. One US Gallons = 4.54609 litres x (say) $AU1.45 = $AU6.59 Now, the Aussie $ is worth $US1.05, so $AU6.59 x 1.05 - $US6.9195. That makes $3 a gallon look mighty fine and dandy! Go figure!
  23. Hey Annie, You know where all your weather ends up after 3 days, don't you? That's right. Over here. KEEP IT!
  24. Half your luck with the snow, guys. Where I am in Oz, on Christmas Eve around mid-day it hit 39.5degC (100F?) Then a storm came over the mountain and the temperature dropped to 26C. Dropped further overnight and Christmas Day I had to pull on a sweater. Today - Boxing Day 11am - it's sitting on 18C (64F) Talk about a land of extremes. Wouldn't live anywhere else!
  25. Merry Christmas back at ya Don. I can say that now because it's just kicked over midnight on your east coast and you're officially into Christmas Day. For me - I'm freeloading with my bride's sister's family about five hours from home, and its just gone 4pm - Christmas Day. (We always get in prior to you, eh?) Chrissie gifts all given out and chrissie dinner is an hour or so gone. Relaxing prior to afternoon tea and a light dinner tonight. Cheers all and a prosperous, safe and healthy 2013.
