If you don't have room for a tach they have a model that connects to a cover for the brake fluid or clutch lever reservoir. I also forget I have a 5th gear most I use is 4th up to about 65mph which is seldom.
if it's only happening when you take off or very slow speeds check the idle screw. very easy to be a little low. some people have good ears for this, thought I did but one of the guys I ride with said the idle was low barely turned the screw and the flat spot went away.
also don't push too firmly against the screws when adjusting. I bought a long Phillips screw driver at HF and took the handle off, cut about 6-8" off the shaft and put the handle back on. Sure made getting across to 1&2 adj. screw easier. yes I measured before cutting.
you have a month to dig out the bike and put it on a trailer to take with you. the extra spent on gas will be cheap compared to the gas spent in the car driving around wherever you end up.
been thinking about one, did win a bid on ebay but the seller would not honor by bid and wanted to send me a lower model #. you can down load an app for your smart phone from go pro and use the phone for a viewing screen while filming or check the angles of the camera.
I check the air often in my tires an always needed some air after a few checks, my buddy said it was from checking so often and I lost a little air each time. get a Harley no leak pump for checking the pressure and the low air problem went away.
I checked my reflectors and their 4" long and fit on the 1" bag crash bar. they mount with four screws in a black case with red deflectors. have not seen what you've choose to do but this may work for you unless your looking for the led type. it's an 07 RSTD.
Our system works great for us, no radio or intercom. All we need it a tap on the shoulder and say need to eat or need to stop and I know when to stop for gas. she can talk all she wants when we stop and when I've heard enough I say time to go.
rode today 42, filled the tank and added sea foam. if I go more then a week without riding I plug in the battery charger. I've been called nuts for riding to weekly club dinners when it's 20 degrees out, hey it's a bike club not a car club.
You want change? where have I heard that? Oh yea Obama said that. Next the dues will double (Harley parts are expensive) and post will only be allowed if hardly parts on sale is in the text.
I have removed them by taking a wire coat hanger and hammering it flat then working it into the grip then blowing air into the opening. just remember if all else fails you will be buying new grips. be careful.
