  1. Yeah, ditto what he said. Mine was "minimally invasive" at the time, one 6" and one 2" incision, but it's next to no cutting and downtime now compared to then. My understanding is that they do a posterior approach now, so there's less muscle to disturb, that's what took me a while to get built back.
  2. See, I knew there was a reason I came back, thanks!! I'll go to the locksmith we used where I worked, he's really good at his trade.
  3. I'll check on it tomorrow when I go get it transferred, didn't think about a locksmith having them, DUH! I'll let you know how it turns out.
  4. I can speak from experience here, I had my left hip replaced in Dec. '06. It had been getting progressively worse since '03 or '04. I had bought my first Venture in March of '06, and by that Fall had gotten to the point where I'd have to use my hand to lift my leg back up on the board after a stop. By March '07 I was back on the bike with no pain or movement issues. On the flip side, I had a 3 level lumbar fusion in Feb. '11, and have just now worked my way back up to a Venture. If your wife loves to ride, then definitely ask her what she wants to do too.
  5. Thanks tx2, I thought that it should work, I'll have to see my dealer about getting some blanks. MiCarl, it's a 2nd Gen, and the 2 keys are the same, just different cuts.
  6. I had a problem with my e-mail getting hacked, and have finally narrowed it down to some dude that replied to a couple of ads I had posted on Craigslist. The first one happened a couple of months ago, and then again with a different ad this past week, both times after I replied to his request for more info about the ads. I reported it to Craigslist, but haven't gotten anything but an acknowledgement so far. About 6 months ago my bank card got hacked, but just for what appeared to be a tank of gas and a magazine subscription in northern Fla., I hadn't been to Fla. for well over a year at that time. The bank found out it happened at a convenience store where I bought gas for the bike from time to time, and they apparently had a history of this. I got my $$'s back, but just found the purchases to be kinda amusing.
  7. I just bought a '99 RSV, and the original owner had replaced the ignition switch, leaving me with a different key for the rest of the locks. My question is, since they are double-sided keys, if two locksets can be cut on the same key? I know there are more pins/tumblers in these locks, but on older Ford vehicles you could cut 2 different vehicle ignition keys on one key, one on one side, one on the other, it would require a blank key to start out with. Just an inquiring mind thing.
