  1. If I was in the market, I would be all over this for the money. Tons of upgrades. https://www.nationalpowersports.net/itemdetails.cshtml?itemid=48126 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/616807542407021/
  2. Try Mike Eykamp. He's the Diamond Cut Guy that advertises here on Venturerider. Very nice guy. If anyone has or can find what you are looking for, it would be him. I have bought a few hard to find items from him.
  3. One good gust of wind and..................just sayin'.
  4. The plastic clips that are holding the wires can be remove from the little nubs on the handlebars and that will allow a considerable amount of play in the cables and wires so sliding the tubes up isn't a problem. Just lowering the rear alone with the Baron's kit can be problematic in a couple of ways. 1) Just lowering the rear changes the rake of the front forks causing slower steering. Especially in slow maneuvers. 2) Scraping the mufflers in corners but more so when turning and going up a hill from a level road or driveway or turning and driving down a hill /driveway onto a level road. Take a good look at a picture of a Venture side view profile. If you really look, you will see that in stock form, the exhaust is already angled downward from front to rear. Just lowering the rear makes that downward angle much more dramatic. I have tried just lowering the front, just lowering the rear and lowering both the front and rear together. I am only 5'-8" and finally settled on lowering the front 1" and modifying the riders seat. Most guys have Rick Butler mod their seat but I prefer to do things myself. Fortunately, I am happy with the results. Also tire brand/selections make a difference. I am running Avon Cobras which have a smaller diameter than other tires so that helped reduce the the height.
  5. Those fork tubes look like they are up higher than 1". I am surprised that the fender mounts on the lower forks haven't dented the lower fork tube covers in the event you hit a bump hard enough. It happened to me when I raised the tubes 1 1/4" . Was able to go that high due to using the handlebar risers. I wound up changing the whole setup by lowering the front 1" by using a 1" spacer in conjunction with the small spring below the the piston on the damper tube. This allowed me to keep the fork tubes flush with top of the triple tree and allowed enough space that there was no way to bottom the forks and come in contact with the lower fork covers.
  6. Awesome! Well, And? Your killing me here. How do you like their performance vs stock? I absoulutely love my R1 calipers.
  7. I was also thinking the pump you have is for a Road Star. Someone must have swapped it out at some point. It will still work fine as long as your hoses reach OK without them crimping/pinching. They are the same exact pump except for the RS one having the 90 degree tube. I would run it without any worry.
  8. Wow. Some low numbers here. I joined in 2012 and my last 3 digits aren't even close to most of the numbers being posted. You guys must be like, older than dirt!
  9. Look on Craigslist or FB in your area for 2011 on up mufflers. I believe it was 2010 when they placed the catalytic converter in the headers instead of the mufflers. You also can usually pick up a pair at a local independent Harley shop and usually for real cheap. And if you want them a little louder and rumblier (is that a word?), you can drill out the plugs with a hole saw like I did. Back to your original question... Yes, you could use 2 left ones from an 06 if you have access to them.
  10. Don't know if anyone has seen this review, but looks aside, it sounds like this bike is an absolute dream to ride. https://www.cycleworld.com/indian-motorcycle-challenger/
  11. According to a Rick Butler post years back, direct bolt-ons to the RSV are R6 - 2004 and earlier, and the R1 - 2003 or earlier. I used some advertised as 2002 from ebay. Bolted right on. All years for RSV's have the same forks so should work on yours.
  12. There wasn't a dry eye anywhere when the memorial was unveiled. I am glad I was able to attend. 3 1/2 hour ride up on the bike to the site in the White Mountains. 32 degrees when I left home, got up to 37 degrees when I got there. https://www.wmur.com/article/memoria...crash/29523873 And while the unveiling was going on, we had this jackass in the area. https://boston.cbslocal.com/2019/10/...dingming-zhou/
  13. I only know you because having been in this forum for several years, I got to read your posts and comments on others posts including mine. Can't wait until I get the chance to get to some of the M&G's to meet you guys. Gotta wait a few more years for this retirement thing to start. When I clicked on the watering hole page and saw your name on the right opposite of the contest title, I thought to myself, the contest is on the 11th page. Marcarl is a regular that frequents this forum regularly so I thought...I bet he is trying some kind of angle. It figures that getting the last word in was the angle.
  14. Thanks Puc for bumping up this thread with your post. I kind of forgot about it. I actually installed the R! calipers about 2 months using EBC sintered pads. The difference is like night and day compared to the stock calipers. I left the rear organic pads in also like BratmanXi stated in his post and can also state like he did that the bike can be slowed down to a crawl with just 2 finger pressure. I am impressed to say the least. They are almost as good as the ABS on my Ultra limited. Very happy with the way that the bike feels now and the new confidence I feel.
  15. Check in almost everday but not necessarily login everyday. Love this forum. Can't wait until the time that I can have the time to meet a lot of the members here at the rallys and the meet and greets.
  16. Popping is much more noticeable with a working AIS after going to aftermarket mufflers. First thing I would do is check to see if the AIS has been plugged. If it isn't, go ahead and plug it. That should eliminate the popping. Here's a write-up on how to do it. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?485-Plugging-the-AIS
  17. I wave when riding solo. When riding 2 up, my wife does the waving.
  18. I have been using the K&N KN-303 or you can use the Mobil One M108. They are both at my local advanced auto store which is why I use them.
  19. Which model Edelbrock pump did you buy? I hope it was the 17303 model as it has a max psi of 3.5. You don't want any more pressure than that on your carbs.
  20. Just in case anyone is wondering, you now have the chance to be the proud owner of this one-of-a-kind bike. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/660937977709127/
  21. Where have I heard that before. Oh yeah, from that little voice in my head. If you are anything like me, good luck with that thought.
  22. Yeah, this. I am brutal like this when I buy used stuff. Worst that can happen is having to spend up a little but still get a good deal.
  23. Geez Don, Haven't personally met you, but have become quite familiar over the past 6 years I have been on this forum. I am truly sorry to hear what you are going through. Prayers and well wishes are being sent your way. Wait until you find out what is causing the problem before thinking about a for sale sign on your bike. I'm sure whatever the problem is, it's something that the docs can take care of easily.
  24. Maybe some blocks are different. I got mine not too long ago from a guy on FB that was making them. I think is was Dave Sledge. I have the standard Star visor.
