Our youngest daughter and her husband were here over the weekend with our granddog. We celebrated Christmas on Sunday with the two of them. They left this morning for Nothern Illinois to spend Christmas with his family. Our oldest daughter and her boyfriend will be arriving on Tuesday evening ahead of the snow predicted for Chicago. Our two daughters will get on the phone and go through their Christmas stockings long distance since they are not together this year. (They have only missed going through their stockings together once when one of them was a foreign exchange student half the world away and then they still did it together on an international phone call.) We will open gifts on Christmas morning with them. Later in the day the boyfriend's parents will be driving up from Dallas for Christmas dinner. On Friday after Christmas the daughter and her boyfriend will be making birthday dinner for the two moms, my bd is the 29th and his mom's bd is the 1st. After that who knows?

I'm not cooking this Thanksgiving (Christmas will be another story). Instead we are going to our daughter's boyfriend's sister's in-laws.

Trash it, nope not me - I regift it! One of the men I work with loves hanging them in his work area. So after NEWTrk flips through it, I then regift it as a thoughtful gift to my co-worker. Remember when the economy is down you have to be creative with the things you don't want, need, or like - regift them!:whistling:

Wow, what a fantastic way to spend a week hanging out with your mom and the rest of the 'girls'. Bet you had a blast!

Peggy, my heart goes out to you and your family. I know how hard her loss is to you and your family. It's been 4 years since lost Emiedog. I still miss her hugs. But I also remember the good things, how she hated teen age boys when our girls were in high school. Lucy will be chasing squirrels from afar now.

Sorry to hear about your dog, it's always hard to lose a part of your family, and after so may years are a part of your family. We had to put our dalmatian down a few years ago we had had her 14 years. It's never easy. Our thoughts are with you this weekend.

We're planning on going over to BBB on Saturday - work schedules won't allow anything else. We're only about 1 1/2 hours away. Mountain View, AR is some real nice riding - you'll have a great time. Also live music on the town square on Friday and Saturday night.- 9 replies

Phil and I just got home and unpacked the bike from Eureka Springs. We had a great time and a wonderful ride home between the storm fronts and managed to stay dry. I do have some pictures, but I really need a shower and a nap before that happens BTW my count was 29 people were in attendance at Eureka Springs. Bill and Linda you did a great job as always!

We talked with a Hannigan Trike Rep at Star Days. He invited us to Kentucky to their factory to tour it and even to test drive a trike. He was very open with the costs and even showed us the price list he was working off of. We thought that they were worth looking closer at if we decide to go that way in the future.

We picked up OSI cool mesh jackets for summer riding here in Tulsa this year. They too have an waterproof insulated liner, but the air flow through the mesh has made riding a whole lot more comfortable. Helmets - we wear 3/4 HJC white helmets with a flip shield, and have found on the really hot sunny days that a dew rag under the helmet helps keep are heads cooler.

Thanks for letting us know about your dad. I was wondering how they were doing when I was the Baton Rouge had gotten hit so hard. Tell your folk that Diane & Phil from Tulsa say hey.

Make her do the therapy afterwards and get back on her feet as soon as she can. My experience is my mother had a hip replaced about 8 years ago, the following year she had the opposite knee. Today at the wonderful age of 88 she's walking 2 - 3 miles a day and swims when she can. Poor dad just can't keep up with her even on the riding tractor and I know he tries...:rotf:So count yourself lucky when Charlene is back up and on her feet if you can keep up with her.... We'll put both you you in our prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Happy 3 day weekend to you too! We are headed to Iowa in the morning for the weekend. We are going to some kind of family reunion with family we've never met in Denison. I figure that when we show up on a motorcycle these relatives will wonder if they want to claim us as family or not.:rotf:

Well he's not a Dalmatian that's for sure! I don't know what he is, but he sure is a keeper.

I thought the secret was to make you son mow around the pond! :rotf:
