We can only repeat what has already been said here - glad that you are finally home. Your journey has already been a long one to get to where you are now, but we know that you have a longer journey ahead of you and we are all here thinking of you, praying for you, here when you need us, and even when you don't. Diane and Phil

Thanks Jack, the battery arrived in Oklahoma today!

This is the trunk bag that we picked up. It has some nice straps that work great on the bars of the trunk rack. http://www.riverroadgear.com/rrweb2.nsf/Products/B1DDCB900080C366862570690073462C?opendocument

I'm a computer programmer and worked from home for 7 years before being transferred to OK and required to be onsite in the client's office. Since I work for a company and not myself - always had the same paycheck and benefits as the staff that work in the office. The only think working from home does is allows you to buy your own coffee and toilet paper, heat your house during the day, and lets you wear bunny slippers and jammies all day, and save time and gas on the short commute to the office.

Moving passenger headset Plug-in
rosebud replied to jimmydsmith7's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Nathan - you wanted a couple more pictures of where my passenger headset plug-in was relocated. It's attached with a product called goop, if you ever get the pleasure of meeting up with wild hair39 - he swears by the stuff. BTW - the white line in pic 3 on the plug-in is a marker to match up the 2 connections easily. -

Another locaten you might want to consider is the armrest. Here is a picture of where Phil relocated my headset. I love having it where it's at now. It is convient to plug and unplug, easy to reach, and the cord no longer is always pulling like it was in the original location. With this set up, Phil did not have to extend the length of the cable. -
Jack - just sent you payment via paypal for a 2nd gen PC545 battery. Thanks, Diane

Yep, you sure can see the leg irons - I've got him chained up and torture him with the motorcycle catalogs.... :mugshot:

Well Phil fell in love yesterday - he stopped at the dealer for some nut or bolt from the parts department, and while talking them the parts guy took a pair of Kuryakyn grips out of the package and let Phil play with them. What a mistake, they are now on his birthday list for next month. Before that he was going to pick up the grip puppies.

Thanks guys for all the information. You are ALL the best! :happy65::happy65: Your responses gave Phil something more to ponder, and is helping him narrow his decision on which way to go with changing the grips.

NEWTrk wants to replace the stock grips with some new ones that are a little bigger in diameter. If you have replaced your grips he is looking for some reviews of what you replaced your stock grips with, and if you the replacements them or not. BTW - We're in Oklahoma so he is not looking at heated grips. Thanks in advance....

We've rode through Eureka Springs several time with no problems. Use your judgement, if something or someone makes you uncomfortable get out of there. If you go make sure that you visit the War Eagle Mill.

Arkansas has a brochure of great motorcycle rides in the state. They have an online version of the brochure to download and a motorcycle video that you watch. Here is the link to the website: http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/motorcycling/ Thought there might be someone who is thinking of riding in Arkansas this year.

Phil is a 3rd generation type 2 diabetic, and his is genetic. One thing we learned quickly is that when you get a good endrocronologist he or she is worth their weight in gold, but thegood ones are few and far between. The first one Phil saw after the GP finally gave up trying to get his diabetes under control, looked at the blood test results, looked at Phil's body shape, then looked at what the GP had Phil on for medications. She took away 3 of the meds he was on, put him on 2 different ones and within 30 days had his numbers under control. Phil has seen 2 others since we moved to Oklahoma and I may know more about Phil's diabetes than they do. It doesn't hurt to see a different doctor until you find the right one for you. Another thing that I have done since Phil was diagnosed - I go to every doctor appointment with him. I am his self appointed diabetic buddy and I need to hear what he hears first hand. This has worked for us to work to gether to keep his numbers under control.

We are so sorry to hear this - adding Ron and his family to our prayers.

We are really sorry to hear about their accident. What a way to start out the year with an accident, then again what a way to start out the year - an accident that Brad and Lonna were able to walk away from. Brad and Lonna, take it easy, we all know that bikes can be replaced the two of you cannot! Diane & Phil

Happy New Year Don! Hayward, WI is where Phil and his dad use to go deer hunting in the really old days - nice area for snow mobiling, have a great vacation!
