  1. I used the "permanent" one, and put it here:
  2. EXACTLY the first thing that went through my mind...
  3. Stolen!!!
  4. Stolen!!!
  5. Nothing...but I sure miss it.
  6. They couldn't win the war on alcohol either, and the nation finally realized that and stopped it. They were however, too late. The criminal underground that provided banned substances had already taken deep root, and here we are again. Oh well...
  7. Again, thanks to all of you. Been away this weekend hunting...wife got a nice little buck last evening, camper is winterized and now I have to get packed and work on the honey-do list a while.
  8. Thanks, all of you. If you've been there, you KNOW that knowing others have your back makes a difference.
  9. ...I'm rapidly approaching my last ride for the year, and not because of the weather. I'll be deploying in a couple of weeks for what I hope will be my final trip overseas before I retire and head home to what's left of my grandfather's farm. Just a short trip, I should be home by the end of February, but I don't know yet whether I'll even be able to follow the forum while I'm gone. Gonna miss my wife, my iron horse, and most of quail & deer seasons...but this should finish up the excursions for me, at least in uniform. I even bought some seafoam this evening! Keep the sticky side down...
  10. Yesterday, as I was riding home from where I spent the rest of the week hunting, I was keeping my eye on a dog on the right side of the road...only to discover another one IN the road just beyond the first one I saw. Looked like the second was trying to "join" the first; fortunately he took a short detour to avoid me. Just another reminder to not focus too long on one thing...could'a been a mess.
  11. God only made a few perfect heads...the rest he covered with hair.
  12. I want one!
  13. I'da shot it...no question
  14. I'm pretty sure they've shape shifted into politicians.
  15. Is there any other kind?
  16. Doc removed my wife's gall bladder 4 or 5 years ago and it helped with a lot of "stomach" issues. Be aware however, that the removal will bring on it's own issues, primarily a seriously reduced tolerance for fat in the diet. It gets better with time as the liver adjusts to producing bile on demand instead of storing it up for use when needed, but there are still occasions when she could add a chapter to the tome "Rush to the Outhouse", by Willie Makit.
  17. This leads to another question. My wife says she would like satellite radio in her truck...so, are you satisfied with your sat radio services and why or why not?
  18. ...No Problem! Less than an hour start to finish; replaced all the discs and the spring. VERY nice change in the clutch hook-up. Took longer to clean off the old gasket than anything.
  19. They needed killin
  20. It's Bush's fault...
  21. I saw a GW once...it didn't look much like a "V" to me!
  22. And my wife would probly beat me, but I'd probly buy one. A lower CG would be kinda nice too...but don't want integrated brakes. Front should mean front, and rear should mean rear.
  23. Checked the spare? That's where the problem usually is when the light comes on in my wife's truck...
  24. Yeah, that...and whether it's true, or just another dose of smoke, Diamond's propaganda is that they make their seats based on the "dimensions" of the rider. Either way, the stock seat kept me sitting on the tank with the twins under duress and had my butt begging for relief. The replacement doesn't. If I had to spend 700 miles a day on the original seat I'd be in tears.
