  1. But you get to wear that neat costume!
  2. A cool little story on a motorcycle mechanic/rider/racer that is retiring at 90. I have heard about him and his legend over the years, but never did get a chance to meet him. Sounds like one hell of a cool guy. Turns out I work with his granddaughter. http://www.mysuncoast.com/news/local/kenny-clark-wraps-up-a--year-career-at-motorcycle/article_a25e6ea2-901a-11e2-9846-001a4bcf6878.html
  3. That shock test is no fun at all. It turned out that I needed my right arm ulnar nerve worked on in addition to carpal tunnel on both hands. That was 2007 and no problems since then. Interesting sidenote, My Docs name was Dr "Hand".
  4. Had her for 7 years. No name yet. Have always wanted to name her, but nothing has ever come to me. I thinks its one of those, I will know its time, when its time.
  5. I installed my new ignition and added the relay today. It was pretty darn easy with the excellent instructions I had to follow. Larry, thanks a lot for making it something I could do myself. Not to mention all the other people it is bound to help. Ross
  6. Thank you very much. I am going to do this on the weekend.
  7. I have found many good articles. I guess I have been spoiled by this site, and would like to find a good all in one tech article to walk me through. When someone says something like simply tie the hot wire over to the 50 amp side of the fuse, I am like..............What??? Huh?? Like I say, not to sharp with electrical stuff.
  8. My ignition switch is bad. Must be the second time because I have two keys, never knew I was only supposed to have one. I have seen much talk about adding a relay to take stress off the switch. I would like to put in the relay when I redo the switch. I am fairly handy, but the elecrical side of things is one of my glaring weaknesses. Is there a step by step post that shows how to do this? Any suggestions on where to get the switch? What type of relay to use? Can the switch be cleaned up and keep on using? Thanks, Ross
  9. Yep. Its one our favorites.
  10. So can you use the PIAA 10934 with no modifications? Is it as easy as take the old bulb out and replace it with this bulb? Thanks, Ross
  11. Its amazing what those things do. If you doubt them ride in the rain, huge difference.
  12. We love Paul Thorn. We try to see him whenever he plays Florida. http://www.paulthorn.com/
  13. Couldn't get an E3 for the rear. (BackOrder) So I ended up getting the Avon Venoms. Really like them so far. Quiet, Smooth, Handle Well. Didn't push them to hard riding in the rain, but seemed to handle the wet well. Should keep me happy for a long time, as long as they don't start cracking.
  14. It was not. It is now and all is good. Many Thanks K9cottage.
  15. My 99 RSV will start fine in neutral. But will not turn over when in gear with the clutch pulled in. Clutch slave was just rebuilt if that would make any difference. What are the things to check? Kickstand switch? Other? Thanks, Ross
  16. What is the bulb # for the Yamaha brand passing lights? Thanks, Ross
  17. I have decided to go with the Dunlop E3. Thanks to all for your input. Ross
  18. Where did you get the new slave cylinder from. I am having trouble locating one. Thanks, Ross
  19. Need new tires. So whats the latest word on the Avon Venoms? Cracking fixed? Stay away? Would be buying the new Michelin Commanders if they made a front that fit, not interested in running a narrower size. Thanks in advance for any input. Ross
  20. This setup sounds nice...but pricey. I have six shuffles, I have four of them loaded up with different genres. And then two are totally random. 300 to 400 songs on each. I clip the one I am using to my tank bib, very easy to reach down and forward to the next song. I buy them off CraigsList and have never paid more than $20 for one.
  21. That little town is so cool. We were there a couple of years ago. All around the square they were having impromptu jam sessions. Lot of fun. The roads are great for ridng. We never hit a bad one.
  22. I find turning around and looking at them for a good second or two usually has some effect. Of course make sure all is clear in front of you. Ross
  23. I wish Don would/could put some of the money in his pocket. But I know he doesn't.
  24. I bled about 2 months ago and resovoir is now nearly empty. Is there any vendor that is recommended for purchase of the clutch slave cylinder. Thanks, Ross
  25. There used to be a guy on here from Port Charlotte. Rode a 1st Gen. I haven't seen him post for a long time.
