So far that date looks good for us. Most likely will ride up Saturday morning and may stay the night. With any kind of luck I may have my new ride for this years riding season. maybe able to keep up with bongobobny when he leaves a stop light, like a rocket. Should be another good time with bigtom planning this meet. Jerry

I have a massage pad that has a heating pad built in. It's already set up for 12volt. I'm thinking something like that could be fitted inside a seat. The thought of leaving the little massage buttons hidden in it. When the wife wants to stop the ride early, just turn the hidden massage units on. of course you placed them in the right spots in the seat. She might want to go another 100 miles or so. :happy-emoticon:

It snowed last night and the salt trucks where out. So that ends any riding for me, till spring and the salt is gone. Gotta love New York.

Looked like a good time but I have one question for big tom. What's with the Blue venturerider shirt. You made yellow ones for New Yorkers to wear. Hope everyone had a good time. To bad I had to work, it would have been a good riding day. Nyjerry

Hunter those are some nice pictures and the roads look interesting. We road thru the lower catskills last weekend ( rt52 and rt206 ) and also rt6 in PA. I have to say your road trip may have had a little better views. Route 6 is real nice and has some nice sightes and great small towns. Well back to why I was responding to this in the first place. I would like to no the route you took, because it looks like a good road trip with great senic views. I would like to ride that area a little more with it beeing so close by. Thanks Jerry

A little late posting back on this ride. SORRY I would like to say thank you, guys and gals for waiting around for me to show up. I was going to try and catch up with everyone along the way. You did get my daughter to ride along. She was not planning to ride because she thought it would be just couples like my rides normally are now days. When she saw there where other single riders, she was happy to ride along. She's getting a big head with those comments you guys give her. I can't even park my bike with out her telling me that I have the wheel turned the wrong all the time. We all had a GREAT time. The ice cream was goooood and that was my first time at a tom wahls. So again I would like to thank Tom for planning this and Phil for making sure I wewhere not left out of it. Thanks NYJERRY, Deb and Tania

Looking for some where to go in NY State May 15-18
nyjerry replied to CanadianRider's topic in Watering Hole
Try the finger lakes area, lots to do. There's sampson state park and its in the heart of the wine touring area. There's some nice state parks with waterfalls and in Walkins glen you have a nice walking trail thru the gorge. Jerry -
Problem after carb cleaning
nyjerry replied to rvcullen's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
This might be a dump answer but do you have the air cleaner back on it. They don't like to run with out it. -
I just put the new diaphragms in and did the ss washer deal. I new something was not right when I had to use a lot more choke. I sync the carbs when it was warmed up and that helped. Bike would run ok when it was warmed up but I no longer had that zip that it had before and it was really cold blooded now. So I changed the ss washers out with the plastic pieces again. Another carb sync and the the bike runs good again. I have always gotten 45 mpg with the bike so I think I never needed that MOD anyways. Jerry

Stuck float? slider not moving
nyjerry replied to coltrain's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
My slider was doing the same thing Yamaha mechanic told me to test them with the long screw drive. If any of them did not slide easy or would hang up to take the cover off and I would most likely find the slide had come apart. He was right and all I had to do was put a little glue inside the two pieces and put it back together. It's also a good time to check the diaphams. Jerry -

Thanks reinyrooster for your hard work and following up on the updates. Ordered mine tonight and Martin said they should be her next Tuesday or Wed. They seem to be good people to deal with. They have answered all emails I've sent very fast, weather they had the parts or not. So thanks again for finding a great place and your work and time. Jerry:bagpipes-emoticon:- 122 replies

I have had radio problems for about a year now. The buttons will stop working when in heavy rain but would dry out and start working again. I have taken it apart and drained water out of it. Then I sealed it with sealicone sealer, big mistake that just kept more water in it. So I took the sealer off and drilled two drain holes in the bottom. It helped some, the radio would dry out faster. I'm getting it ready to ride and the memo button will not let me set stations. I have it all apart and see nothing wrong. I thought of putting it in the oven to see if needs drying out. again a temporary fix. So I'm looking for any help on how to fixes this problem with out changing radios. I've been spending a lot of money this year on maintance and upgrades. So a little savings would help out. Thanks Jerry:fingers-crossed-emo
