  1. I do now yes. Im still getting backfire when revving up but that may be unburnt fuel from all the cranking checking for spark. But it revs great now, I was surprised at how fast it revved next to vmax. Can't wait to fervor on the road tomorrow, I pulled this beaute out of a yard its been sitting in for 9 yrs.
  2. Haha, your welcome. Not sure if that is the switch that is bad or what!
  3. Well probably something I should have checked, but the kickstand switch must have went out. It didn't work before and I could start in gear.. but now it seams as if it may have grounded out or something. I clipped the black/white wire from the tci harness and fired right up. Man how stupid can I be!!!
  4. Bkuhr just got your tci and o still have no spark. Problems elsewhere I assume! This is nuts. Im not sire what the problem is but battery was completely dead to so I jumped it doing this, could something have fried that's not letting it get power to tci or something from battery???
  5. Lol, id love to, but man I've got enough lol. Got a couple 80s models I gotta start selling. But thanks.
  6. Would u guys know if a vmax tci would work in the venture for suree, like 85-90 vmax on my 83 venture. I think one would be easier to come by, plus I have vboost im waiting to put on and the curves might be closer to vmax than venture. Also I think some of the connector tabs separated from the boards when I was tugging on it, may have destroyed my venture board.
  7. Oj well the red w/ white striped wire had 12v sitting and cranking to. So I have power ro the tci. Any other thoughts. I don't have anyone near me to try theirs!
  8. I will try that! Should i worry about resistors that are swelled up and a little rusty looking?? Cause it did work before
  9. Well it does get hot from just cranking, ill try that. I have some resistors that are swelled up maybe from water? Could that be a problem??
  10. Out if curiousity can I use my multimeter on the board its self for tests, thus would eliminate alot of my struggling.
  11. I didn't bake it, I just cleaned out holes and solders in new ones. Yes I do know they go one way, that was the first thing I double checked. It just seems weird that I have no spark. I havee soldered before, so I know I didn't goof there.
  12. Ok kill switch works, not a single spark from amy of 4 coils.
  13. Yacht switch I meant kill switch making tach jump** I apologize this was all from my phone. Yes i replaced all diodes like I said was it 6 or 8, don't remember. And at the r/w wire for kill switch, I ground probe and use that r/w wire as hot side for probe and I should be able to flip switch and get 12v on and off correct?
  14. Well I soldered in all 8 or 6 diodes however many there were. But im not sure of my kill switch is bad or what now but I have no spark at all. If I push the kill switch it makes the yacht switch jump a bit was that normal? But do you have any other tests I can try. I wasn't sure if maybe I lost ground from pulling coils also or what!. But now im furious lol.
  15. Ugh, I got the tci box off, and it started dripping water. So im going for that. Being the problem lol. Relocation *definitely*
