I filled up my 2007 Silverado on Friday trip from Chambersburg, PA to Richmond, VA on Saturday afternoon. I didn’t think much about it at the time but I do remember the pump delivering the gas as running very slowly. About 10 miles north of Richmond on I-95 the truck chugged to a stop. I sat for a few minutes and it started right up. Went about 5 miles and she stopped again. Waited, restarted and went about 2 miles and stopped again. I continued with this process with the results dwindling as I went. The final stages only allowing me to go about 200 yards. It appeared that either the fuel filter was blocked or the fuel pump was shot. I finally chugged into a police sub-station in Chesterfield, VA and called ConnerCamp (a former member here, sold his Venture but that’s another story). By now it was early evening. Steve picked us up and gave us a ride to Auto Zone where I purchased a can of Seafoam. I added the Seafoam to an estimated 8 gallons of fuel and ran the engine for a few minutes. Tried to drive the truck with poor results. We allowed the Seafoam to soak overnight and tried the truck the next morning. It ran with absolutely no issues. We took several 30-minute trips and the truck ran fine. We left Chesterfield on Tuesday afternoon for the trip to Chambersburg, made it with no issues. The miracle cure worked again, I’m a believer. I paid a courtesy visit to the gas station today to advise them of my analysis of the situation. Of course, they assured me that their fuel was clean and their filters had been changed last week. I didn’t try their pumps to see if they delivered faster today than last week. I think I’ll avoid them in the future.

I'm looking for the clear deflector below the passing lamp, right hand side. I need the entire unit. Mine snapped of at the bracket. Just the screws and a little tab of metal left.

As Lead Dog on the USA team I saw that we had it won at the mid point, kicked it into neutral and coasted to the win. The chants of USA, USA, USA were an inspiration. I guess it was hardly fair with the home field advantage and all. I just think the world of our Canuckian friends, great competitors and great friends. Can't wait to see them again. Rose Mary, Cousins Bob and Jan, and I had a great time. We'd like to thank the WNY crew for all of their hard work. This was Bob and Jan's first motorcycle rally, they say they will be back next year on their Ural. We got a little hungry as meals were few and far between, let's see what was that schedule--breakfast at 8:30, snack at 10:30, lunch at 12:00, beverage at 3:00, dinner at 5:00, ice cream at 7:00, hot dogs at 9:00. I'm glad I don't see the doctor for another 2 months. Thanks again guys, what a great time.

Thank you for your kind words BRB and Sylvester. To date I've repaired about 15 RSV shocks. With the exception of one I repaired for MONSTA a couple of weeks ago all appear to have been successful. MONSTA's unit arrived in Hawaii (after a long rest at an FPO due to my transposing the ZIP code) with an oil soaked box. When he applied air the unit leaked around the seal between the chrome cylinder and the housing. This leak is very unusual and I'm sending him a replacement unit today. I would like to hear from other Ventureriders that have utilized a repaired shock. Successful or unsuccessful, I'd like to hear your results. Ride Safe, Ride Smooth, Fitz

Random, welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your shock problem. I do repair these shocks but only the Oring just above the bottom clevis. If your not leaking oil then you have an air leak somewhere else. Most likely it will be the seal between the ram and the housing, the one that is about 4" dia. I haven't replaced that seal and I'm sure there is not a seal replacement for this shock. Yamaha made it so it could not be disassembled (see my tag line below). Please don't use an air compressor to add air to these shocks, you can't control it enough to avoid damage to a seal somewhere. I have attached a pic of the disassemble shock. The places to check for an air leak are: 1. Just above the bottom clevis (I can replace this oring). 2. Between the ram and housing (visible after removing the rubber boot) 3. The seal between the top mounting lug and the black housing (there is an Oring in there) 4. Where the air hose meets the housing (another oring) 5. The schrader valve. Let us know what you find.

I'm with Freebird on this one. Remington 700 BDL 7MM Mag. Shoots to kill, kicks to cripple. Straight back recoil, very little muzzle jump. I received Sweet Lips from my parents upon my high school graduation in 1970. She is a legend around our hunting area. None of my Uncles, Brother-in-laws, Son-in-laws or cousins have ever desired to shoot it twice, once was plenty for them. I've shot a couple of hundred deer with it. I've down graded to a 7MM-08 for most of my deer hunting now. But when the chips are down and the time is short to collect some venison I go straight to the ol' 7MM Mag. She fits like a glove, comes to my shoulder with the scope exactly where I need it. High speed venison on the hoof never have a chance. I love that old cannon!!!!!! You've go me thinking now, I might have to go abuse myself this afternoon.

I bought my 2003 Hannigan Trike, triked in 2014, with 74K miles earlier this year for $13,250. Included most Hannigan options such as reverse and a very nice trailer. The Indian dealer in Northern KY was asking $12,999 for the set. I bought it from the gentleman that bought it from the dealer.

Welcome to the Venturerider Family. Yep, no tachometer!! If you're aggressive ride it to the rev limiter, if not just remember these scoots love RPM's. Some say "Ride it like you stole it!" I don't recall any factory SAE fasteners but you may have some on non-factory accessories. No Torx that I can recall, mostly Allen head, hex head and JSO phillips. Be safe and enjoy.
