  1. Carl, If you're having an auction we can't have 2 bidders at $11,500. Someone had to be the first to $11,500 and should be the successful bidder. I don't know if I was first or second. Please post the first bidder to $11,500 and let the other bidders know where they stand. That's only fair. Let us know.
  2. Carl, see my PM!
  3. I can’t let you steal it Condor, I have $11,500 I need to re- invest!
  4. Thanks for donating your shock so early in the process Rodney. As far as I know it's still out there and operating leak free. Ride Safe and Ride Leak Free! Fitz
  5. Great pics Dragonrider, glad you had a good turnout and a good time. I've been attending the WNY Rally for the past several years and have always wanted to attend the Vogel Rally. Now I have my chance, the WNY Rally for next year is scheduled for mid July. Be prepared for the Great Yankee Invasion of 2020, there may be several of us attending next year. Looking forward to it. Keep us posted.
  6. Whoa Ronny D., what a hair raising trip. Glad you made it home safe and thanks for joining us on our trip South. I hope we can ride together soon.
  7. Rose Mary and I are on the way with WIZ, Mrs. WIZ and 4 guests. See you mid-afternoon. Have the barn door open, we may need it.
  8. This has me concerned, the last lottery I won was the DRAFT LOTTERY in 1971. Can't wait to see my WNY friends again.
  9. You're to quick for me this morning Carl!
  10. Just across the road from Pioneer Motorsports, 12220 Olean Rd | Chaffee, NY 14030 Check you private messages.
  11. Prayers up CJ for your Dad, you and your family. You all will be in my thoughts today.
  12. Prayers up for Bob and Becky.
  13. A lost shift linkage screw has been reported by several RS Venture riders. I'm not sure about your cycle but on the Venture there is a bolt on the side cover (the one under the seat, chrome on your bike) that is for decoration only. It can replace the shift linkage bolt in a pinch. Good luck with your new ride.
  14. I mounted a Wolo from Harbor Freight. I fabricated an 'L' bracket and mounted it where the old horn was located. It sets out a little farther than the original but not much. I think CarbonOne makes a bracket. Very loud and fairly easy to install.
  15. Glad to see the Beast is staying in the family. Is your boy a forum member? Warn him to keep a close eye on his hardware. We won’t always be around to do a search lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Wow Rich, that’s a beautiful scoot. Can’t wait to see it. What’s happening with the Black Beauty? She’ll be jealous!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Prayers up for my friends Bob and Becky. Get well!
  18. Welcome to the Venturerider's Serj. I suggest that you start with the simple stuff first. Fresh Gas! Check the plugs! Sync the carbs! Add a can of Seafoam or some other fuel system of your choice and ride it like you stole it (which you did at $300). If it sat around for a while all of the above will help. More First Genner's will be adding to this list so hang on. Good luck and keep up posted.
  19. Be careful, don't get any drippin's on you Birkenstocks!!
  20. You hit it on the head ol' Pucster, Sylvester is never happy. I water proofed his Tony Llamas at last years MD and all he has done is whine about it ever since. To make up for it I have prepared a special boot dressing formula made entirely from re-claimed Yamaha RSV Shock Oil, the finest available. This stuff is guaranteed to produce a lovely butter nut brown hue on even the most highly polished boots, good stuff. Can't wait to see that old farmer again. Hope you're there to watch my back. Ride safe, ride smooth.
  21. Take a look at this thread: https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?48987-Speedo-NO-GO
  22. I would take a look at the speed sensor located on the final drive first and trace the wiring back from there. There is a connection under the seat or the left hand side cover that may be disconnected. Down load the service manual from the Tech Library and check page 7-78 for a pic of the speed sensor. The speedo works on electrical impulses, could be a loose connection or broken wire.
  23. Neither Rotella T4 or T6 contain friction modifiers. I have used T6 in my RSV's for over 100,000 miles with no adverse affects. Check the Member Vendor section of the classifieds for Skydoc17's clutch spring replacement kit. It is low cost, very effective, contains everything you will need and is a simple job. Earl will provide tech support if required. You'll find the hardest part is removing the old gasket.
  24. Peter, welcome to the forum. I’m not sure if you realized it yet but the stock RSV speedometer reads about 8% FAST. 100 mph is actually about 92. This can be corrected with a Speedohealer or similar device. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
