  1. wow thats alot of sd cards. never knew there were different speeds. the camera on the back which way do you face it. if its backwards does it make ya sick watching.
  2. thats great you havent turned her on you. only took me 13 years. for the first wife. this time got the right one. shes ahead of me all the time have to work at keeping up.
  3. bought a sharper image camera during the sale. has any one had one and how well did you like it. and have you up graded or still using. never used one before but for 48.00 figured i would try it. its a 1080 hd.from menards. what kind do you use? also is it better mounted to front bike or helmet. did you have to put a bigger sd card in. etc pros and cons
  4. happy thanksgiving back at you cant sleep. the clan is going to be at our house today. wish i lived in the country would have the kids out shooting clay pigeons and buckets. insted will be computer games and such. guess i just wanted to relive memory's.
  5. im not a vet so dont have that option. went to wally spent 450 on glasses 200 each lens. but seem to work better than vision stores. will buy more when needed
  6. wife and i took a ride yesterday. was around 54 quite a few bikes were out. was a nice ride then the wind started to blow. made us head back home. but enjoyed our time out. rode all back roads.
  7. looks like it would be hard to keep cmu. plus would look better with something more modern. the cmu is old tech. could make a display to fit under new dash. free up area for mp3 or cup holder ,etc quite a bit of thinking of ways to build it. quite a few people on here know the wiring well. good luck and post pic as you build
  8. thanks gary was wondering if 8000 was safe. close enough to floating for me. just dont want to hit limiter. at that rpm you need to shift as speed not climbing need next gear.
  9. todd jeff is right valves are prob floating. do you have ign tec tci or stock. you may want to set it if an aftermarket. could put valves to pistons they dont run good after that. ask me how i know. was young and dumb ever been there. with ign tec tac drops off takes power away totally better be hanging on. no warning.
  10. yep new that. just was supprized how aggressive it hits. will prob raise it 500 rpm higher. then if i hit it its my fault. never ride that hard just seeing if full throttle range was working right. not the smoothest rider.
  11. no i have an ign tec old one ran on three.
  12. took my 83 through the tac range. the tci limited me at 7400 looks like it cuts all power as tac dies out for 500 rpm. it was a little more agressive than i thought. just like switch turned off no stumble or miss just off. just wanted to feel seat of pants through gears. any one try theres? plenty fast enough for me. just wanted to make sure had full range.
  13. well started to throw fuse holder on ign wire. changed my mind went to boat shop bought a fuse block with built in ground lugs. then went to parts store bought 5 gang fuse cluster and gold terminals replaced all glass fuse assy. at the top of old fuse box was a lonely ground lug. added it to boat shop one. then added a ground wire to battery. put bike back together for test run. best it has ever ran. cant be-leave the difference... now to fasten down fuse holders. will have to add a relay for accy wires as stock wire small want air horn and garman, etc. have them on bike already just need to find a place for compressor. have trumpets:dancefool:any idea where to hide compressor.
  14. jep printed out a few ideas. still have stock fuses. had bike running and i touched each fuse headlamp and ign fuse taught me a new language. had the radio on when i played with wire static would come and go need to find my resistance. think headlamp is just the load. but ign fuse shouldent get that hot.
  15. have a new tci on bike. from ign tec. all connectors were cleaned at that area. dash plugs were also cleaned. replaced one coil and all wires to plugs ngk ends. replaced kick stand switch. cleaned switches on handle bars ie separated and sprayed with sandpaper used also. if i remember correct #2 coil controls tac pickup am i right. i have rode the bike over 3500 miles this year. carbs are rebuilt. fuel tank was cleaned took off bike. started to get radio noise like ign feedback. while on last voyage not bad just there figured that was the antenna.
  16. well there was some one that didnt make it home from freebirds maint day. he compiled a list of stuff to test. cant remember for the life of me his name. should have subscribed to thread but that is another story. was up by fulton ill pulled up to stop. bike would not rev and tac was all over. rolled off to shoulder bike woke up. we made it back over to iowa. bike would miss every once in a while but made it home. took cover off and looked at fuse and wiring. but thought i would print out his flow chart of sorts so i dont keep testing same thing.
  17. forgot the before pics. wow what a differance all the staples on the old seat were rusted off had a hard time getting them out. seat was not to bad to put on. my staple gun was a little weak but worked. could not find my t-50 stapler then wife told me where it was. i will be buying the back rest in around 3.5 weeks. here is pics this may take a few trys been a while
  18. got the seat today looks great. hope i can put it on correct will post pics. before and after.
  19. Mine had to tube also just drains off excess water there is a strip of rubber at bottom of screen leaks water . Just resolder the plug as in instrctions. Use eraser to clean joints then spray off when I soldered mine had to remove solder then get hot enough that it sizzled added new solder and it works. They are super slow settiing.
  20. yes we have talked a bought it before. but had to wait till the bike ran correct. ie quit having to buy parts to keep it running. lol could have bought one running..... just have to make it nice now.
  21. I'm ready if you have the pattern make it. message me the way you want to handle it.. and we will settle up:Cartoon_397:
  22. if i have to send cover it will be a while as got some riding to do. i figured you already had pattern for my 83 royal. wife and i ride as long as our seat can take it. most the time my legs start acting up. wanting to get as many miles on as possable. i havent forgot and figured out how to subscribe to threads
  23. i have the same question. are you going to pull a trailer also. what kind of bike do you have. will be lurking in the back round. i can feel mine slip if i crank hard on it.
