  1. they both were above 12 with bike running.
  2. well I have 189 ohms in the blue wire. and I did dump it in parking lot quite a while back. kind of strange as rode it all over since then. is this sensor below dash mounted to plastic shield. there is also a big square one in there same area but its just hanging there. my pump relay is on the opposite side but all hangers are broken how do you fix this or have to replace it.
  3. well been running this whole time and there was no sluggish range in throttle. so I know this is the problem just where
  4. well tested blue/white wire at relay has 12v when not running then nothing after engine running I thing if I am reading diagram correct also in repair manual says there are two relays by headlamp am I reading this correct. the blue and black wire is 12v not running then after starting auto ranges from 25. to 12. maybe that's how it supplies voltage hit and miss. this wire goes to pump. the red and white wires go through coil and solenoid maybe this isn't my problem but pump runs quite a bit after it dies. im thinking there were quite a few issues wrong and having to work through them. I have a extra fuse think I will hook pump up that way and see if it dies.
  5. thanks Kevin. I think the 83 year ran off wire to #2coil. was reading another post. but they never said where, and they were working on a 86. I have left fairing off. just not sure where wire hooked into coil wiring and color to relay. I believe dingy said igntec couldn't supply enough voltage to run pump. don't know if it would activate a relay to power pump tho. and if tip over would shut it off hooked up that way. taking laptop out in shop with me connection isn't to strong but works. I don't think this site auto updates while using. but will keep refreshing it. nothing else wont be lonely.lol:hurts:
  6. well carb tune showed up. I put it on bike. 12 min was done. now to fix other problems.
  7. well when bike is running pump looses power to run. only has power when switched on before starting then after engine dies. what relay controls pump is it the blue connecter for ignition. also its hooked to tip over switch, kill switch, side stand switch. do I have this correct. and any one have a readable wiring diagram colors and socket wire locations.
  8. I don't think I could drink any more getting pretty full of it. blue flames out back.
  9. well got computer to talk to bike and got my settings changed like I wanted. the virus protection was stopping computer from updating usb ports. then I synked carbs. carb tune is the way to go. now after running for about 5min slows down and dies. then fuel pump turns on pumps fuel back up. the only time pump has power is when first turned on and after engine dies. no power going to it while running. is this the way it should work. I would think it would run the whole time bike is running. and this is the best it ever sounded since brought back in service. and I cant tale any difference in jet screw positions. kind of sluggish between 2500 and 3000 may have to change curve setting. rod
  10. I have the adapter cable but program only works with com plug. wont open with usb
  11. I have that adapter. but program needs com setting to open and read
  12. well cant open my ignitec. the 7 computer don't have com settings. so ign files wont download or upload. my xp died
  13. haven't changed any settings in my v88. since I moved up to windows 7. cant get past com opening as newer computer don't have this setting. anyone now how to trick box or computer. want to change rev limit and check other settings
  14. who is keeping who. keeping ya fed so you cant run away.
  15. I replaced carbs. sending parts out to member. bike runs on all 4 just have to set carbs. tossed old carb bodys in trash kept all good parts. thanks for all ideas. there comes a time when time is more valuable some place else.
  16. micarl motion pro are junk. ordered a carbtune yesterday. tried that wire in throat adjustment im blind. kept backfiring in my face. just kidding. could not see good enough to do it. tz89 would like to make one but now would be a bad time. probably blow a gasket. lol so bike can sit by its self the rest of week. trying for a part-time job right now. time for this bike to retire.
  17. they are off a 83 when I get mine running and know I don't need parts will send them to you for cost of shipping. o and I expect a Christmas card. lol:stickpoke:rod
  18. better yet can any one measure spring height on synk screws that way could get close enough to use this tool maybe.
  19. well rebuilt carbs measured spring height at screws. that was a waste of time two of the motion pro gauges went clear to the top if not farther had to pull hose off quick. changed settings now other side doing it. think I killed the third tube as fluid wont go back down all the way. I have never done this before. in the diesel industry just used a single monometer. and foreign cars used a variable venture with plastic tube. any one have a carb tune to sell or want to help. cant take bike anywhere though. also need to adjust mixture screws. im stuck
  20. 3 and 4 are good the slide diaphrams are junk used the good ones on other rack will they help you
  21. well used dremmel, cut all the way to brace screw bracket. was still 1/4 inch past. measured needle I had out. looked in throttle bore could see end of needle. just my luck. ordered a carb assy off ebay. all needles and drain screws came out and no screws were rounded off. took apart to check parts. they seen me coming when they sold me this bike
  22. congrats I did it last spring. don't over do it like I did. took me three weeks to recover.
  23. also that picture shows needle spring washer rubber in that order. all the ones I got off are needle rubber washer spring. so is mine incorrect? maybe that is why they wont come out. but would think it kept dirt out.
  24. I just came in the house thought about the dremmel tool cut on way in. esp or what weird. at this point will probably murder the housing. don't look pretty but at this point don't care. just put fuel pump for a Honda civic on bike didn't like the other universal pump. have to replace pilot housing gasket so will order needles while at it. thanks kevin was worried about cutting into it. again thank you.
  25. well I got two of them loose. but the other two are stuck tight. and I finished off the slot on them. didn't think I was using that much force. I soaked them for 4 days before trying. I heated up oil and pored on them. cussed them, begged them, even took a bolt and made a tip for them.lol so now to get rough???? cant find part numbers for them or who sells them has anyone drilled and used a easy out. or do I have to punt:think:
