well I tested the exhaust heat { on startup.} I found number one and three sleeping on the job. One hits sometimes. That's a real nice spot where the coils are. Is the resistance of the plug wires same on second gens? That's all the farther I got tonight. Don't have a socket to fit in hole till tomorrow for plugs. Way to tight a fit will have it turned down tomorrow. They run pretty good on two.
well I put a wireless puck from walmart on my aux port for playing music and phone navigation. Added a usb charger for phone {self contained} hooks to 12 volt. I used a relay and a 5volt fuse. So far the only time I hate it is when phone looses towers. So far only in ill. Over shot destination a little. lol Also had to add a switch to disconnect the power to puc other wise it trys to connect all the time and messes up radio. This is on a second gen. Also you only see the phone and usb plugs put one on for passenger also.
I think I have about 70.00 in all of it but that's because I'm picky.
well I have the stock 17 I cant see over the top without leaning forward. Been in a few down pours as long as the windshield has pledge on it. There is no problem. There is a little wind buffering on steering but once your used to it no big deal. Cant say on passenger as don't have one right now. Don't see anyone interested either. My sister said there was quite a bit back there but the helmet she was wearing was way to big.
replacing sign posts. O sh*# we put the hole in the wrong spot. Hurry go get the portable post hole before the boss comes. Its in the truck tool box. most of them came right back something about as holes. But had one that searched for 15 min never did find it. lol forgot to tell ya. they started to warn all the new guys about us. WE suckered a new guy into thinking there were two days of holiday off. Boss called him and asked if he was oversleeping. Told on us. Thats when they started warning about us.......
is your clutch fluid dark brown. it may not be releasing all the way. Mine about drove me crazy when I first got it. changed fluid then replaced clutch discs and spring. pulls a little harder but will never get ride of bike till its dead and cant find parts.
well I was a paper boy in the rough neighborhoods. Then dad said work with me for two years and ill buy you a car. I carried shingles onto roofs, busted up old sidewalks, dug footings for room editions. My first car was wourth 250.00. He said that was my first lesson in life next time get it in writing. Then I worked on a watermelon farm started out walking fields and pulling weeds. To working hauling trailers for potato digger to coup no brakes on truck would just circle building till it stopped. then loaded watermelon's onto trailers then trucks. Then started driving trucks to stores in driving distance and unload them.
well here it goes. When people complain about things that I do. Its not going to change. I like to piss them off just as they have me. quit complaining and get your own rope. Hows that lol:250:
the wrist pin is probably stuck. if it wont turn over. normally you can break it loose. wont be like new any more but should run good enough. tore apart a few engines and that's what is usually wrong unless it got real hot. may have to take carb and read cover off to oil it and turn it.
if weather is nice next week going across iowa on hwy 2. going to hit Nebraska and head south into Kansas. on motorcycle roads there is a route across top of Kansas about 100 mile long then back home. that would give me two more maps this year and test arm. figure two to three nites in hotels or along road parks any takers
@mrvbooster this is where to post about clutch. The first thing to check is has the fluid turned brown. If it has there are how to write ups in here. also the clutck springs are weak on some bikes you may want to change that also. welcome aboard
scott at least you made it to all the places you did. ive made it to two events and had to trailer bike to one of them. the third event was in a cage the whole time. haven't found anyone to put up with me yet. lol hope to see both of you next year. Im almost healed up now as long as I don't do something stupid. praying for quick and easy fix.
@ carbonone I mounted the left brace on the bottom of the footrest bracket had to trim the bolt head a little and drill straight up. I like it this way. all angles were the same. made a big difference on strength of crash bars thanks
I think on album right click, cut, copy, and paste to this site. or something like that. it will give you the url write it down and type it in here. a word of advice write it down for next time. im a little slow, I don't need to do that. ya right
my 83 I had sheep skin that we used for long distance. don't know what happened to it. bought a seat cover from a member here he made after that didn't need it would ride 8 hr days with it. leg cramps the last hour of days. didn't have highway pegs. have to toughen up back side.
that sounds a lot worse than I thought. You were being looked after. Young and old drivers do crazy stuff all the time hard lesson for her. Dad wont let her forget. Be safe my friends
