  1. I'm with fool on that password crap. Did your hard drive go out on your asus laptop. Had to replace mine a while back not to tough to do. my toshiba satellite xp screen went out didn't want to pay what they wanted for parts so I bought the asus windows 7 just upgraded to windows 10 you have to change a lot of the settings on it don't like being prompted to do stuff reset, reset, reset, Hard drive was around 55.00 and bought a back up external card with it about the same price. Didn't like loosing pictures.
  2. A word of advice. Don't over do it when you retire. Do a little at a time on home projects. Takes longer to recover from overdoing it. Trust me. CONGRATS
  3. Well I tell ya when you drop two cylinders on these rsv's they shake also. And sound like it to. But still go right down the road.
  4. if the smoke turns yellow. will have a fire
  5. here is the bearing numbers
  6. Well ended up buying metric bearings for one side. The other side still looked like new. Grease was a different color from one side to other side. Black and white. Think there was water in failed one. Could see water beads inside cap. So will see what happens. Could buy the whole hub for what I paid for bearings. Only place that had them in stock. Ready for next year I hope
  7. well i'm not the only one anymore. don't you love when it hits ya to late:rotfl:
  8. You would have to cut the power by at least 50% or it will lock the wheels. There isn't enough weight to keep it from skidding. Especially when its raining. Last year rode in the rain more than when it was dry. Automotive controllers send to much power.
  9. well tried to start bike was going to ride it a short ways. Could not keep it running till it warmed up10 degrees. Are these bikes that cold blooded it was over 20 degrees. It would fire but not run.
  10. well the axle shafts are not quite 1". So the bearings are metric and the hub is also. Going to replace the hub assy so I can buy bearings anywhere. The shaft is just a thousands under sized. I've read where the taper on the lugs is different. so will see what has to be done. Already bought this thing so might as well fix it. very pore quality of steel used on bearings they looked like they were run a million miles. Hope I can find a seal half metric and half American. May have to change shafts also if I don't like it.
  11. wow seen a few of them. a long time ago
  12. the water is fine
  13. good job. should be fun.
  14. What the heck. Why haven't you converted to run water. Its a lot cheaper. 1.67 here for gas.
  15. well I think some of us will use it. Good way to check on friends and give them a hard time [install evil laugh] Been running in circles lately so hit and miss on time.
  16. Well I'm to late this time. But are you talking toy bikes or real ones. I fell for work for me two years and ill buy you your first car. It cost 250.00 and was my first lesson in life get it in writing. That was cement jobs.
  17. happy new year.

  19. my mom called me scared yesterday afternoon. some people came to her house insisted she have them tar the chimney and seal the wood deck. they came in the house and did the work on roof and deck while one stayed in house. it was a rainy day, pored sealer on deck. I got there and caught them told them to get the hell out of here. they stole her credit card at some time. I called the police and they came out. reported card stolen they used it twice last night. but we had the police report to give card company. sorry had to vent to someone pissed.
  20. merry Christmas to you and yours:173: miss you on chat
  21. You know you keep this up and your going to pass my 7 surgery's in five years. That is not a good thing. You get to the point that you don't care. I was lucky to find this group of crazy fun people. We may have to put your bike on a trailer and throw you on there and let puc pull you all over. Man the stories you two could come up with.
  22. well it was at the end of 1974. I drove my parents nuts till they let me buy a basket case bsa 250. I ended up hiring it put together. Then had to fix it to get it to run.lol I rode that bike way to hard. Before I got my license rode up the high way as fast as it would run. it was at about 120 when the valves hit the piston. Had to push that sucker a long ways to get it home. I think it was about 15 miles uphill. had to rebuild it myself that time. I was 15 years old. Every time I rode long distance I would get to where I was going to turn around. That sucker would die, had to reset the valves and points to get back home every time....
  23. well I found this site right after I bought my first gen. Dingy helped me a lot on igntec settings. That would be hard to replace that kind of help. Have had a lot of help from a lot of members. Besides they all like to get lost during the group rides. I have made so many new friends its unbelievable. We have lost a few members yes but some of use are as old as the bikes lol. I wouldn't want to loose what I have gained. Besides I like to ride in the rain. Any one else lol.
  24. I have the torch loaded. lol
