Wayne's right, It's the Star Washer Pin behind the Clutch Basket. There's a Ratchet Mechanism which is operated by the Shift Shaft, if the Pin isn't in Place anymore, the Hook on the Ratchet isn't biting anymore. Though, no upshifts possible. Pretty easy fix.

Master Cylinder Screws
Squeeze replied to elmicko's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I think those are M4 Bolts, 6 or 8 mm long. But don't tear my Head off if these are not exactly the right Lenght. -
The ZX-14 is the King of the Drag Strips all over the World. Excellent Setup and sooooooooo darn FAST !!! Bill, I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry you plan on parting with it. I'd loved to hear some standing Mile Times instead .... It's a Killer Deal and if Times would be a bit better, i'd be all over it, even if the Freight and Customs to Germany would cost a Lot Money extra.

I think it's a good Mileage. :thumbsup2: Once you've mounted the EFI next Year, you'll have 5 Percent more Power and 4 Percent less Consumption :D

You're right, the Tool bids only the Amount you enter, if someone else has a higher Bid, you'll loose. The "Trick" on sniping is that you enter your Bid at the latest possible Time and nobody is able to counteract anymore. There are Lots of People who only operate by the Ebay Bid Agent and enter their highest Bid Day before the Auction ends. Now they wonder why they've been outbid because another Bidder entered a higher Bid, but lower than your Bid and placed a second Bid and end up winning the Auction. The highest Bid wins, even in a Sniper Tool War... You could download the Tool, and you'll find an english Help File too. Basic Functions are you're entering your Account Data, the Tool reads your Watch List, shows them in a List and bids at the Time you set prior to Ending of the Auction. The Time is corrected automatically, controlled by various Options. There are Runtime Test to determine the best Amount of preset Time, depending on your Internet Connection. The Tool can automatically activate a Dial Up Connection and shut the Computer down after the last Auction ended and on and on. It's a nice a handy Tool and much faster than operating Auctions the Webbrowser.

Tail Pipe Expander
Squeeze replied to Dave77459's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Warming up the Pipe to be expanded does help on mild Steel Pipes. Didn't work too much on my stainless, though ... Cheap China Stuff will work but not when the Tool you need to use is a real professional Tool. -
Not trying to get into an Argument either, but excuse me .... in a Lawyer's World where, i.e. Winnebago was sentenced to a huge Restituion because they failed to mention that the CC isn't built to allow you to get up and make yourself a Cup of Coffee, or a Microwave Oven isn't built to dry Pets in there, or McDonalds didn't mention that their Coffe is actually hot or or or .. What makes you think you won't get into an Argument with an Insurance over using a Car Tire on your Motorcycle. Even i would try to get out without paying, so would you ....

carburetor help
Squeeze replied to dunkins1's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The Vent Hoses are shown in Chapter 8, Page 33 in the Shop Manual (pdf) which is downloadable here in the 1Gen Tech Section. but they show only the Connection to the Carbs and that they should be run through a Holder(all four of them), it doesn't show were they should end up. -
carburetor help
Squeeze replied to dunkins1's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Well, if the Whack wouldn't work, i'd undo the Drain Bolt (don't forget to save the O-Ring too) and try to apply some pressurized Air through the Drain Bolt Hole, might just work the Floater loose. -
carburetor help
Squeeze replied to dunkins1's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Hi fellow Maxxer :happy34: That exactly happened to a Carb Set i sent (by DHL) my Friend two Weeks ago. But you won't get the stuck Valve loose with only with Fluid. Take a good sized Hammer, cover the Diaphragm Bowl with a Piece of Cardboard and give it a Whack with the wooden Handle. Don't hit exactly center of the Bowl, the Bowl is awfully thin there and you might just break Hole in it. I'm sorry, i too can't exactly remember where the Vent Lines on the VR go along, they head towards the back of the Bike, along the Frame und end to left Side where the U-Joint is. -
Outstanding Job Gary !!! Congrats on your fresh Ride, i'd love to ride around with you sometimes and see what's in there now !! :thumbsup2::thumbsup2: Disclaimer: If someone's sensing the Enviousness between the Lines, that's the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth :whistling:
