1400 cc is a waste of Money, if you're going to bore go for the real Deal - 1500cc Vmax Gears might fit to the overall Performance of the Engine Cams are good, but what about the Valves ?? They desperatly need to bigger than 2Gen Size Jets might be a good Idea, but with that Motor, either 1400 or 1500cc, you need way more Mixture dellivered. Even these stock 32mm Carbs are too small for the 1200cc Motor. Custom EFI would be in order. proper Exhaust is a must on such a Setup clean up Heads ? Don't know what your meaning

Half Disc is simply to describe. The innerst Friction disc has a bigger inner Diameter than the others. There is a some weak Point, because the Friction Material is a Lot less than on the standard Discs. The Space which is not there on that Disc is filled with a Steel Ring. When doing this Mod, the half Disc and the Ring is taken out and replaced with a standard Disc. The Wire which holds both in Place comes out and not back in Place. DoubleD is two Springs instead of one. Works fine, but, i seriously would suggest some Spinach before firing up the Bike ...

Reiny, i'm really sorry for your Brother and Family, going through all this. I hope he recovers soon to fight back for his Health. You U.S. Guys may feel very good about your Weapon Laws and do a Lot to keep it the Way it is. Here in Germany, you can not buy anything 'dangerous' anymore. You need a small License for even buying a Gas Pistol. You're not allowed to carry a loaded and secured Weapon, nor a Gas Pistol. Even a Knife is considered as a dangerous Weapon, when the Blade is longer than 8cm/3.2 Inches and the Blade is fixed somehow to the Shaft. Butterfly Knifes, Hunter Knifes, you name them ... all forbidden. I am nonactive Member of a Gun club and shooted Air Rifle and Rifle cal .22 in my Youth. The .22 Rifle was on the License of my Father. He died Years ago, so i got my own License. But this permits only the Possession of the .22 Match Rifle and a .22 Deringer my Father buyed 30 Years ago. I'm not allowed to buy any Ammuniton. If i decide to go back on active in my Gun Club, i will have to face a 7 Days Class to get the Certificate which allows me, with second Statement of the Club's Managers, to reach for a active Sport-shooter License. If i would get one, only Rifles are permitted. For Handguns another Class and a Lot Paperwork to file would be in Order. Well, that is the official Way ... if you want to buy a illegal Gun, go to the local Train Station. In one Corner, i think opposite to where the Sniff and Smoke Chapter is doing Business, you will find anything what you want. Price i 5 Times more as in Shop, but no Paperwork to sign off .... Yes, Germany is surely the safest Place in the World, NO Weapons in Hands of any legal Citizens. Illegal Aliens and illegal Weapons are not under control. If there is someone breaking into my House, i'm suggested to call the Police. So, you take your Gun to Protect your Family's Life and your House, i take my cordless Phone or Cell and yell for help. Hey, if i would use my legal Weapon with illegal Ammunition to protect Life and Home and hurt that poor Man anyhow, i would get 5 Years on hard Labour, the Thief would be sentenced to maybe 1 Year on free Meals, TV every Evening and would go free after 6 Months ....

Hi, use Stabil or something similiar, or not. Just let her run every two Weeks, not only on Idle, rev her up a bit until the Coolant is on normal Operation Temperature. Helps to keep the Carb Bowls clean, the Diaphragms move the Motor does not get any Water inside and on and on ...

Here's the Link to the Manual, provided by Juggler http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3384 The TCI is the Ignition Mudule, also called CDI. It's located beneath the Battery Box. It's hard to get there, therefore, most Members suggest to place it on top of the Airbox. A new TCI might be pricey, but they are on Ebay all the Time. If your TCI tests bad, here is a Member here who can repair these. Just use the Seek Button or look down on the bottom of the Pages, there are some other related Threads listed. I'm sure some other will chime in here later the Day.

Hi, congrats to a free Bike ... :cool10: well, almost free..... You can download the Manual here in the 1 Gen Tech Section. On your Question, this sounds quite like the TCI is going south. Maybe the baking Process would help you out of this. It's hard to tell. Give it try. Maybe there are some Connectors involved. I would bake the TCI first, place it on the Airbox afterwards and see whats happening. If it doesn't help, most likely the TCI should be changed to a known good Unit, even for testing Purpose.

My Thoughts also, it seems i can hear someone yelling "I didn't do anything, i wasn't even there .... " Not that i am biased, but i learned in my Life, there is always a other Side. You might not see it, and it may never ever would come to you, but when told about it, you can understand what has happened. Of Course, understanding is one Thing, considering it appropriate Action an other.

Am i allowed to count my "I seriously wanted to be there, but i have no Bike in US or Canada ?? " Events ?? :stirthepot::stirthepot: Seriously, i second Tartan Terror's Statement. I do not need such a Count to consider another Member more or less than others. Of Course, there ever will be some 'Primus inter Pares', or 'more equal than the other Equals' but that doesn't bother me. And, i do not see anything what makes this Feature usefull or helpfull. And for those who i do not like to read, there is the Ignore Button. Nobody on my List so far.

I's say, she played an older Game which caused the Resolution to change. Thereby the Programers did not set the previous Resolution back to where it was before ...

I agree 110 Percent. How much is only your Bike worth ?? 2000 ?? 3000 ?? 4000 Bucks ?? Tires are the only Thing what keep the Bike and you on Track, if one of them fails, the Consequences can be fatal. Good Tires are the best Insurance for your Bike and your Life.... Not to mention the Bills for Medics and the Loss of Income on a crash ...

Hi, first and most important is to look out for a fitting Helmet. This means that you should not be able to move the Helmet to any Direction on your Head. Different Brands have different Shapes inside. Next Thing, a new Helmet also needs "Break In" Time. You better buy the Size a bit smaller than you're comfortable with. This may cost you 2 or 3 Hours of Pain even a slight Headache can occur. But then, when your Head and Helmet negotiated the 'get together', you will be satisfied for the next Years. If you buy a slightly too big Size, you will be able to turn it around the Head within the next 3 Months. This is more annoying than a too close fit. Don't ask how i know that, i payed the Price for learning that ....

I LIKE IT .... Yamahamer's Statement of Course !!!!

Mufflers, Collectors and pipes...oh my!
Squeeze replied to a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sorry to say, but a Vmax Collector won't fit a Venture. The Downpipes are splitted different. So, the complete Set, 4 Downpipes and a Vmax Collector may!!! fit, but not the Collector alone. In Fact, the Vmax Stock Mufflers and the Collector are one Piece. Aftermarket Pipes/Collectors may fit. Hindle Stampeeder 4 in 1. Kerker 4 into 1. BSM Downpipes and Collector. HMF complete Slip-ons ond on ... I said MAY fit .... -
Is there a jet kit for the venture?
Squeeze replied to onefastmx5's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Hi, you just can't compare this Stage7 Kit to anything else. The Stage 7 is a complete Kit with a Lot of Parts to change and modify. Slider-Springs, Air-Reduction on the Intakes and so on ... It's a complete other World and also not just bolt on and you're done with it. There is a lot of tuning needed afterwards. And, it doesn't fit on your Carbs. -

Yes, that's right. The Dyno Springs are weaker than Stock Springs Because of their different Needles, they have a complete other Setup. during the Operation Range of Needle/Jet Needle Functions. If you do not drill the Holes, it just doesn't work as it should.
