OK yesterday evening I had to ride the venture home left my suburban at the office no gas took it to work today and now I can't stop riding it its addictive ( been 20yrs since i last rode ) got my tag for it but I have a few problems that I need to fix the warning light stays on flashed twice on me last night no brake light from front lever front tire is dry rot not bad but still rotting carbs need sync it needs right mirror got to find the problem on the compressor control panel lose wire my guess is which one speakers are shot I will be doing a lot of reading in the tech library on these problems but may ask y'all for some help on things I may not comprehend oh and it needs a lot of tlc and I plan to give it thanks for all yall's help

its not an ego thing and i dont want a super wide tire im not running a hardly i just want a little more rubber on the road also i dont think the fender could hanle much more and no one would ever see it from the saddle bags and the mud flap i tried to down load a pic of it but it keeps sayin download failed i need to resize the pic and i havent figured that out yet now as for my 2nd Gen im going to the dark side with that one -
good to see your back up and running i finaly got a new battery instaled in the venture i bought from 1rooster and filled the tank with gas 1 1/2 gallons to top and took it for a test ride down the block found a few things i need to take care of on it but it runs good brake fluid change oil and filter change clutch fluid change tune up and new tires will get me started

hey dragonslayer i did the OTR for 14 yrs loved every miniute of it and i miss it now i came off the road to watch my kids grow up and have enjoyed that even more. i will go back to it one day but please do your homework on this subject as it is not meant for everyone if you decide to do it get hour hazmat and a twic card. the twic card alowes you un escorted acsess to rail yards and ports for delivery and pick up. good luck on your endevor

its what the computer pulled up for a part # and its holding 12.7v and i had to look its 6 cells but what is the 7th hole fore does the probe go into the acid

question i got an acid battery i filled the cells and charged it its got 5 cells and another cap for what looks like a cell but its full of acid is the extra hole which i can see the plates thru the hole is that for the probe sencer i have to wait on a get battery only had enough for acid battery

i got the same thing yesterday several pop ups for wal mart card and leather gear i had to run a full scan and found 3 trogens on my computer

so what kind of money am i looking to spend on a vmax hub and wheel to do this mod? factory rim is 16 i dont mind staying at 16 or droping to 15 but dont want an 18 i think it would be harder to find an 18 tire not only that i dont know if the machine shops around here could or would handel anything that big or know what to do or what im talking about -
boy i hate this i changed the color to highlit something and now it wont go back to black i got it back in black now oh yea its dot 4 or 5. 5 is expensive and sometimes hard to find dot 4 not so much easier to find and not muchmore then dot 3 but better i think dont know just know it cost more and yammahaaaaa says put it in

great info but i have no garage to do this work in yet i now have the 84 venture its still on the trailer it will come off today for a test spin around the block dry rot tires will not alow me to go much further then that. i will be doing something to it once i have a garage to put it in and do the work on it also money is a playing factor -
you need to let her know every time you run the mower you run it out of gas hence no problems:no-no-no: with the little tank and carb:whistling: the bike you have 5 gal. to run hence problems so you have to run a lot more:confused24:

if longer stacks makes it cook faster then yes if not then no realy kinda undecided all in all the roaster looks good great job :happy65::thumbsup::clap2:

i have not rodeyet but i have met 2 good people on here so far Walter (wes) and Gerald (1rooster). i was supose to meet donald (tazmocycle) saturday night when i was on my way to get the 84 venture but did not as it was 1:30am when i got to his neck of the woods but i do look forward to meeting many people from vro and ride with them

finaly made it home from roosterville (Marion) NC. thanks to 1rooster for selling me the 84 venture my daughter and i left NC sunday late afternoon and with the hickups of trailer tires going flat along the way i finaly made it 500 mi to gulfport with the bike in one piece will post pics soon :cool10: i dont think the venture liked the trailer for as many tires i went thru on the trailer

A drunk driver in a 4x4 pick up ran over the bike in th restaurant parking lot owners were in the restaurant eating at the time from what my insurance agent told me the rear end is twisted and mangeld so bad the only way you know it was a bike was to look at the front end
