    Before I got the Zumo I allowed 10% error on the speedo, now I use the GPS and it agrees with the radar signs along the road. The ODO is off by the same amount so it makes some difference when you figure mileage.

    Tripmasters went out of business about 5 years ago due to the owners illness. He passed away from cancer not long after. You might check with the Venturers storekeeper, I think they aquired whatever inventory Tripmasters had left over not too long ago.

    I liked the look of the slash cut HD slip ons over the stock RSV pipes. I wasn't looking for noise so I didn't punch them out.

    I don't think I'd want to mount anything like a GPS to that plastic piece on the tank. It would likely crack pretty quick I think.     I removed my FM antenna and replaced it with this one mounted inside the fairing. I also moved the CB antenna plug outside the CB case so I could easily unplug and remove the antenna when I didn't need it. http://www.ecshylites.citymax.com/catalog/item/604191/368050.htm It picks up FM pretty good but no so good for AM signals but AM is not much here anyway.

    I've had some of the noise from my Avons but not until I had about 10k on them, once the center of the tire starts getting a little flat it seems they make a little noise when you get over on the sides. I've been using the max cold pressure found on the sidewall and not had any cupping since, I think the bike handles better too. My original Bridgestones cupped some and the pressures were kept at the Yamaha recommended pressures. From my experience cupping has been caused by under inflation.

    That sounds about right for mine too. I leave mine on reserve all the time and wait for the light and F trip meter. I usually fill up by the time the F trip meter hits 20-25 miles and it will take 4.9-5.2 gallons. My usual mpg is 40.

    Thanks. I guess I'll just leave it alone, I've already installed a splitter in the fairing and ran a jack out to the tank bag for my IPod.

    If you just remove the cassette player as you described will the audio system still work as before? I don't really need an equalizer but I wouldn't mind using the space for small item storage, maps and glasses etc.

    These work very well for me but they are for use without a helmet. We like being able to use the intercom without helmets if we want. The headband is over the top of your head and light weight and sound good. The ebay seller is very good too. http://www.goldwingthings.com/

    Utopia and DiamondR seem to be favored by the most RSV owners. I chose the Utopia because I thought the studs looked better with those on the RSMV. The Utopia tips forward out of the way for my wife to get on or off. Either one makes the bike feel a lot better especially on acceleration.
